Hello and welcome to this guided meditation on finding hope and happiness amidst life's storms.

Join me as you navigate through a dark and chaotic storm and step into the light and sunshine.

For as in life,

No storm or darkness will last forever.

It will pass and the sun will shine again,

Bringing with it a renewed sense of hope and happiness.

Begin by finding a quiet,

Peaceful place that is free from distractions.

Come to rest in whatever way feels right to you.

This can be seated or lying down.

There is no right or wrong way,

Just listen to what feels comfortable to your body.

When you are settled in,

Let your eyes fall closed.

How are you feeling in this moment?

Are you worried about anything?

Is there anything that is stopping you from being able to completely relax and let go?

As thoughts and worries come to you throughout this meditation,

Acknowledge them,

But do not dwell on them.

Let them go.

There will be a time and a place for these thoughts,

But for now,

Let them pass.

Be fully present in this moment.

You have no obligations or tasks that need to be completed.

You are exactly where you need to be.

Feel the rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale.

Feel the cool air as it enters your nose.

Feel the warmth of the air as you exhale.

If it feels right,

Place your hands over your heart.

Feel the beating of your heart under your palms.

Imagine a warm glowing pink light enveloping your heart.

This warm glowing light signifies the hope and happiness you can call upon when you find yourself in the midst of life's storms.

Imagine this glowing pink light beginning to expand from your heart with each beat that you feel under your palms.

This light spreads up and down the entire front side of your body and down the back side until you are completely covered in this warm pink loving hopeful light.

Allow your body to sink further into your mat.

Begin to relax your face,

The space between your eyes.

Unclench your jaw.

Relax the muscles in your neck and shoulders.

Relax your arms.

Unclench your hands.

Relax your chest and abdomen.

Your hips.

Let your legs fall open in whatever way is comfortable to your body.

Relax your thighs and calves.

Relax your feet and toes.

You are completely relaxed,

Safe and at peace.

Begin to imagine you are standing on a warm sandy beach.

You can feel the sand beneath your feet.

You can hear the sound of seagulls calling to each other and the waves crashing around you.

The palm trees are swaying gently in the wind,

Bringing with it the salty smell of the ocean.

You notice the sky above you is beginning to darken and the wind is picking up.

As you look out across the expanse of the ocean,

You can see that a storm is coming.

Lightning dances across the sky and thunder rattles in your chest.

As the storm continues to roll in towards you,

You feel the rain begin to fall as it splashes on your face.

The darkness of the storm begins to wrap around you,

Threatening to swallow you in the chaos that it brings.

However,

Even in this darkness you have hope,

Knowing that the storm will pass as all storms do and the sun will shine again.

You reflect inward and find that inner peace that lies within you as the storm rages on around you.

Slowly,

You begin to feel the storm start to calm.

The once angry ocean with crashing waves has returned to its calm rhythmic state.

You let the gentle rhythm of the waves calm your troubled soul.

You feel the warm tropical sun shining on your face,

Bringing with it the reminder that every storm will pass and the sun will shine again.

That even when life brings storms into our lives and periods of darkness,

Sadness,

And loneliness,

These moments won't last forever.

The sun will shine again.

We will feel hope,

Joy,

And happiness.

You sit in this warm tropical paradise,

Feeling the warm sun and listening to the gentle waves washing onto shore,

Knowing you withstood the storm.

In this moment,

You find complete peace and happiness.

What does happiness feel like to you?

Let this feeling completely wash over your body like the waves of the ocean.

Indulge in this feeling of ultimate hope and happiness.

When the storms of life threaten your peace and happiness,

When the chaos of these storms seems too much and your hope is threatened,

Place your hand on your chest and feel the beating of your heart.

Place your hand on your chest and feel the beating of your heart.

Envision that warm pink light glowing in the center of your chest and chasing away the darkness.

Let the beating of your heart remind you that you are alive and that there is always hope.

Let the beating of your heart symbolize the sun that will always shine again even when the world outside seems too dark and menacing.

You have everything you need to take on life's storms.

Don't give up hope.

No storm lasts forever.

This too will pass.

Hold on a little longer.

Happiness and sunshine are on the horizon.

In times of darkness,

Close your eyes,

Place your hand on your chest,

Feel your beating heart and come back to this sandy beach.

It is time to return to this present moment.

Begin to increase your breathing.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Stretch your arms over your head and roll to one side in the fetal position.

Stay here as long as you'd like.
