My name is Sengit and today I have something to tell you.
Many of us develop all kinds of relationships with dysfunctional,
Distorted,
And abusive energies,
Maybe because it feels familiar to us,
Or maybe because we believe that it can't be that bad,
Or maybe we think that it won't really affect us,
Or that we can't have much better from this world.
Whatever the reasons are,
Consciously or subconsciously,
We experience it and we make something out of it that results in a daily life of suffering.
And sometimes,
Some of us,
As sensitive and empathetic beings,
May handle it by understanding and coping with it through all kinds of mental mechanisms that allow us to keep going and to survive.
And yes,
Some of these mechanisms may help us when it comes to little things in life that we see or hear here and there.
But if we think that we can use them as magical pills to totally protect ourselves from anything and anyone,
Let's think twice.
Only someone with no heart can stay in this planet without feeling a thing.
Heart accept and comprehend and not taking personally so we can reach the next day.
How far could we go with that anyway?
Words,
Actions,
Gestures,
Intentions,
And even our thoughts,
All of that matters.
They should be kind and compassionate,
Real and brave,
Wise and appreciative,
Free and beautiful,
Assertive and generous,
And grateful.
This is what we all want from everybody,
And of course everybody includes us.
So,
If we are in an abusive relationship of any kind,
That we feel and know in our heart that it is damaging us,
And if we wonder if we should leave and when,
The answer is yes,
Right now.
Living towards the better,
Towards the best,
Away from fear and towards love.
Because love is the best magical pill that we can possibly have,
The true love that heals,
That we all deserve to be surrounded by.
And yes,
We can leave and still go through those loops of thinking that the abusive person can change,
Can come back and can actually be the one.
This is like wanting a yellow blouse and then finding one that is exactly how we want it,
Just not our size.
We either buy it and never use it or we don't and always wonder.
In any case,
It is there,
Haunting and frustrating us.
However,
If we stay determined in what really makes us fully and truly happy,
Sooner or later,
We can finally see that the yellow blouse is nothing but a piece of fabric that doesn't fit us.
Many of us are led to believe that leaving something or someone is bad and that we shouldn't do it.
We totally forget who we were before and who we are at the core,
And we fall into the idea that there is nothing we can do about it,
Thinking that to stay,
To prolong,
To continue,
To tolerate is right,
Yet it is so wrong.
Once I met a teenage girl who was experiencing bullying from some colleagues at school.
Despite any attempt to stop them,
They persisted.
The girl continued suffering from that experience until she could no more and she changed,
Off school.
In this new environment,
She met new people who treated her right.
She then said,
I never thought it was even possible to have such nice people around.
If she had stayed,
She would have grown believing that that was all that she could have,
And who knows what other wounds could have come from that.
Trauma is real,
It is very real,
And it wouldn't happen in a healthy planet.
However,
This is the world that we have.
So let's stop the abuse by doing our part and spreading love and also by setting boundaries and knowing that we deserve nothing but that.
And let's remember love may mean staying and it may mean living.
It may mean growing and being challenged.
Yet love is never sad or depressed or anxious and shady.
Love is never fearful.
Here from us or from others,
And let's say yes to the happiness that we deserve.
