As you begin this practice,
Make sure you aren't be disturbed.
You may sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor or on a cushion,
Wherever you may be comfortable.
Just be sure the position you find is one that you can maintain long enough for this meditation.
Be kind to yourself.
If you find that you need to shift,
Do so with mindfulness and calm.
When you meditate,
It's okay to have thoughts.
They will come.
Welcome them.
Meditation shouldn't be a strain.
Don't try too hard.
Just bring your gentle,
Non-judgmental attention back to this meditation when you find your thoughts have taken you somewhere else.
Let go of expectations.
You have come to your chair or cushion.
Let yourself settle into this practice to benefit from this time of calm and silence.
Once you begin this meditation,
Stick with it until the end.
Let's focus on your breath.
Breathe in deeply first into your diaphragm and then into your chest.
Inhale as much as you can.
Then slowly begin to release the air,
Starting with your chest,
Then your belly.
Do this for two more breaths.
Bring your attention to the root of your being,
The base of the spine.
A tiny ball of red energy spins there.
Next,
Bring your attention to the sacral chakra,
Two fingers below the navel.
Its energy is orange.
The solar plexus chakra is above that.
It is a tiny ball of yellow energy,
Two fingers above the navel.
The center of your chest is the heart chakra.
It is a tiny ball of green energy.
These red,
Orange,
Yellow and green balls of energy spin and grow.
As they get bigger,
Their energy moves up toward the throat.
Located at the base of the throat is the throat chakra.
It is a tiny sky blue light spinning.
With each breath,
Grow this blue light.
Send it first to your neck,
Then expand again to the mouth,
Then the ears,
Then your entire head.
Take another breath and continue to expand this light.
Expand until it is all around you and you are in a bubble of blue light.
Expand this blue light all around you for three breaths.
Focus this beautiful blue light back on the throat.
Coat the throat with this blissful light both inside and out.
Illuminate the voice box,
The thyroid and all around the neck.
Now send this light to the mouth to coat your teeth,
Tongue and lips.
This light expands to your ears,
Awakening your ability to listen.
This light heals all these areas as it moves over them.
Blue filaments of light glide over and all around the throat,
Strengthening the voice.
Now place your right hand over your throat and your left hand over the right.
Breathe,
Letting your hands rise and fall with the motion.
The Vishuddha is the centre of your energy system that supports honesty,
Integrity,
Communication,
Self-expression and in many ways your creativity.
If you are unable to express yourself,
Aren't your authentic self,
Bottle things up,
Evade the truth or can't tap into your creative side,
Then this meditation can help you break through those challenges and bonds.
As you tune into the vibrational energy of your throat chakra,
Allow your inhaled breath to draw in and support all you need at this moment.
Draw in honesty,
Creativity,
Openness,
Integrity and expression with each and every inward breath.
And with each exhale,
Breathe out any stagnant energy that is getting in the way of your self-expressive being.
While you continue this meditation,
Tune back into the colour of the throat chakra,
The colour blue.
See this colour in your throat with your mind's eye.
What shade of blue is it?
Does it flicker?
Is it pale and weak?
Now is the time to change that.
Allow your breath to draw in energy and brighten this colour with each inhale.
Imagine it growing stronger,
Brighter,
Deeper and more powerful.
Continue like this until you feel like your chakra is improved and in tune with you.
The blue light still surrounds you.
Your voice and all the areas in the throat chakra absorb this light and awaken.
Now repeat the following affirmations either out loud or in your head.
I hear and speak the truth.
I am expressing myself with clear intent.
Creativity flows in and through me.
I am an important voice in the world and my voice is heard.
I speak my truth clearly.
I love to share my experiences and wisdom.
I know when it is time to listen.
I listen to my body and my feelings to know what my truth is.
I am safe and trust others to allow me to express myself truthfully.
I live in my truth.
I communicate my truth.
I am the truth.
I express my love and goodness each time I speak.
Spend a couple of moments in silence as you continue to keep this healing light energized.
As you breathe ribbons of this light touch your throat,
Mouth and ears.
Keeping your eyes closed as you near the end of this meditation,
It's important to come out of meditation slowly.
Bring your awareness back to the breath.
Allow yourself to feel the in and out rhythm of the rise and fall of the breath.
On your next inhale,
Allow the fingers and toes to wiggle if you wish.
Gently shift the arms and legs as needed.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.
Keep your focus inward.
And when you truly feel ready,
You can open your eyes and return to your day.
