Sleep is the tide that pulls the mind back,
Back into deep,
Quiet waters,
So it can return to the shore renewed.
Welcome to body scan,
Welcome to heal and fall asleep.
And we'll do that not by trying harder,
Not by forcing anything to change,
Just as clouds pass through the sky,
You are welcome to allow every thought to come and to go.
The pleasant thoughts,
Thoughts of worry or fear or even heaviness,
All are allowed to be here.
So now,
Let's prepare for this body scan.
Make sure to turn off all of the lights,
Find the most comfortable position in your bed in which you can truly relax and feel completely at ease.
And then gently close your eyes,
And taking a deep breath into your belly,
Slowly exhale through the mouth.
And another deep breath into your belly,
And hold,

2,
Exhaling slowly.
And another nourishing breath,
Hold it,
5,
4,
3,
2,
Release slowly through the mouth.
And with its release,
Reminding yourself to observe the thoughts as the clouds coming and going.
It's perfectly normal if you drift in and out of conscious listening during our body scan.
Imagine a gentle healing light flowing softly from the crown of your head into your entire body.
Send the healing energy to the center of your forehead,
And then begin to focus your attention to your intuition.
Relax your jaw,
Energy across your face to your neck.
Then let this wonderful healing energy brush over your right collarbone.
Healing light beginning to shine through your left fingers,
As you sense your wrist,
Noticing the sensations and the healing of this light.
And as you send the healing light into your chest,
Feeling the expansion of your chest,
That the innocent breath brings with it.
As you sense the healing light spreading through your entire chest,
And warming up your heart center.
Onto your left side,
Enveloping your left hip into this healing light,
Flowing the healing energy into your left thigh,
Into all of your left toes.
And as you feel your left leg relaxing more direct,
Our healing light into the left heel,
Left calf muscle.
The light is flowing through your cells,
Bringing a wonderful relaxation to your mind.
You can already feel yourself being more relaxed,
Steering it along the spine to the back of your head.
Intensify the strength of this healing light,
Let it trickle down your body as a waterfall,
Filling with nourishing,
Beautiful light.
