Welcome,
This is a 5 minute forest sounds relaxation designed to calm your mind,
Give your energy levels a boost and your nervous system a quick reset.
As much as our body needs a regular shower,
In the same way it needs to relax regularly.
So find a comfortable position either lying down or sitting in a relaxed manner.
Close your eyes and if you like you can imagine yourself lying down in a serene forest on a soft blanket and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely and then exhale through your mouth and then bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Notice any sensations here,
Gently move your focus down to your forehead,
Your eyes,
Inhale and with the exhale let these areas soften and relax and then shifting your attention to your neck and shoulders,
Inhale through your nose and feel your neck and shoulders release as you exhale and continue scanning down your arms,
Your hands,
Your fingers,
Your chest and your abdomen,
Inhale through the nose and with the exhale let go of any tightness you might find here and now bring your awareness to your lower body,
Notice your hips,
Allow them to soften,
To your calves,
Your ankles and finally your feet.
Sense the volume of your whole body,
Softening,
Releasing and if you like stay here for a few more moments,
Allow the forest sounds to rejuvenate your energy and when you're ready gently bring your awareness back to your surrounding,
Wiggle your fingers and toes and you can come back to this practice whenever you need a little reset,
A little go the long way and just five minutes can make a world of difference in how you feel.
Sometimes we get so embroiled in our hectic lifestyles that we forget to relax and yet setting just a few minutes of relaxation time aside and stepping away from what is causing our stress levels to rise can give us the energy we need to tackle any problems we are facing.
