Welcome to this gratitude meditation.
Let's pause together to notice,
To breathe,
To feel the good that's already here.
As Maya Angelou said,
This is a wonderful day,
I've never seen this one before.
Let's see how this day can be wonderful and special when we open our hearts and look at our world with a lens of gratitude.
So wherever you are,
Settle in,
Finding a little bit of stillness in your body.
Allow your jaw to unclench,
Taking a deep breath in through your nose and sigh it out through the mouth.
As you gently ask yourself,
What is something or someone I'm glad exists today?
Let's peek some gratitude into the air.
Thank you for the chance to start again.
Thank you for my beating heart.
Thank you for moments of silence.
Thank you for the love I've given and the love I've received.
Thank you for clean water.
Thank you for nature,
Trees,
Clouds and stars.
Thank you for the mornings with fog.
Thank you for the opportunity to balance.
Thank you for meaningful work.
Thank you that I can choose what I focus on.
Thank you for the access to a blissful state where ordinary pebbles turn into diamonds.
And a beautiful spectrum of all of the emotions.
Thank you for laughter.
Thank you for fresh bedsheets.
Thank you for healing sleep.
Thank you for dreams.
Thank you for the lessons I've survived.
Thank you for everything that led me here.
Thank you for this life,
Imperfect,
Messy and precious.
And I invite you,
Just for a moment,
To place your hand onto the heart,
A feeling,
And say thank you for showing up.
Thank you for staying kind to yourself.
Thank you for being courageous today.
And allow the emotion of gratitude to empower you,
To ground you in yourself.
