March Gong Bath 1

A twenty-nine-minute-long exploration of the drones, deep resonances, and oscillations possible with the magnificent 38" Paiste Brilliant Series symphonic gong. Using a variety of mallets, I encourage the gong to sing in ways that capture the wide dynamic range of this gong. Recorded with a 7-mic array, including ribbon, large and small condenser microphones, in an attempt to closely capture the experience and sound of playing the gong in person.
