It is Sunday evening,
And if you were here,
You probably know the feeling.
The week is behind you,
But it's still sitting in your chest.
And the week ahead,
Already starting to make itself known.
The worry that surfaces when your mind drifts towards Monday.
The meetings,
The inbox,
The things you did not finish last week that are waiting for you.
This is your EFT tapping session for releasing the week and beginning again.
Not to plan the week ahead,
Not to make lists or solve problems,
Or mentally rehearse Monday morning.
But to quiet the worry that is already building,
To settle your nervous system before the week has even begun.
Remind yourself that you've handled every week so far,
And this one will be no different.
So that when Monday arrives,
You meet it from a place of ease rather than a place of dread.
I invite you to find a comfortable position.
Sitting down,
Your feet resting on the floor.
Let your body settle.
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And a long breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in,
Steady and calm.
And breathing out.
Releasing that first layer of whatever you've been carrying today.
One more time,
Inhale slowly.
And exhale fully.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Notice the quiet space you've created.
Notice that you are here.
Now,
In this moment.
There is nothing you need to do except breathe and follow along.
Before we begin tapping,
I want you to bring to mind the week that just passed.
Not to analyze it or evaluate it.
Just to notice it honestly.
What are you still carrying from it?
Perhaps it's tiredness of giving a lot and not quite refilling.
Maybe it's something unresolved.
A conversation that did not go as you hoped.
A decision still waiting.
Something left undone that is quietly following you.
Perhaps it is worry about the week ahead.
Beginning to press in before the current one is fully closed.
Or maybe it's simply the accumulated weight of five days of showing up,
Managing,
Producing,
And being needed by everyone.
Just notice what's there.
Give it a number from 0 to 10.
10 being very present and heavy,
Overwhelming maybe.
And zero being completely at ease,
Relaxed,
Able to handle anything.
Note that number.
We're going to move it.
Bring your fingers to the karate chop point on the side of your hand.
And begin tapping gently and repeating after me.
Even though I'm still caring this week.
Even though I'm still caring this week.
I deeply and completely accept myself.
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though Sunday evening feels heavy and the week ahead is already pressing in.
Even though Sunday evening feels heavy.
And the week ahead is already pressing in.
I choose to be gentle with myself right now.
I choose to be gentle with myself right now.
Even though I have not fully rested yet.
Even though I've not fully rested yet.
I'm willing to begin letting this week go.
I'm willing to begin letting this week go.
So stop tapping on the side of your hand.
And bring your fingers to the inner edge of your eyebrows.
And begin tapping softly and repeating after me.
The weight of the week behind me.
Still here,
Sitting in my body.
The weight of the week behind me.
Still here.
Sitting in my body.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
All the things I did this week.
All the things I gave.
All the things I did this week.
All the things I gave.
Tapping under the eye.
And all the things I did not get to.
Unfinished,
Unresolved.
And all the things I did not get to.
Unfinished.
Unresolved.
Tapping under the nose,
The weight of Sunday evening,
The week behind me not yet released.
The weight of Sunday evening,
The week behind me not yet released.
Tapping on the chin the week ahead.
Worrying me.
Causing stress.
The week ahead.
Worrying me,
Causing stress.
Tapping on the collarbone.
The tiredness that comes from giving so much without quite refilling.
The tiredness that comes from giving so much without quite refilling.
Tapping under the arm.
All of this weight.
All of this unfinished business.
All of this weight.
All of this unfinished business.
Tapping on the top of the head.
All of the Sunday evening worrying.
All of the Sunday evening worrying.
Stop tapping.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Relax,
Release,
Let go.
Tapping on the inner eyebrow,
Repeating after me.
I'm ready to set this week down now.
I'm ready to set this week down now.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
I release the tiredness of everything I gave this week.
I release the tiredness of everything I gave this week.
Tapping under the eye.
I release what is unfinished.
It will be there tomorrow.
I release what is unfinished.
It will be there tomorrow.
Tapping under the nose.
I do not need to carry it tonight.
I do not need to carry it tonight.
Tapping on the chin.
I release the worry about the week ahead.
I release the worry about the week ahead.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I do not need to worry or stress.
I'm ready to handle what comes I do not need to worry or stress I'm ready to handle what comes tapping under the arm.
I give myself permission to close this week.
And begin again.
I give myself permission to close this week.
And begin again.
Tapping on the top of the head.
I release this week with gratitude for what it held.
And without guilt for what it did not.
I release this week with gratitude for what it held.
And without guilt for what it did not.
Stop tapping.
Take a breath in.
And release slowly and completely.
We'll move into our final round of tapping.
Starting with the inner eyebrow.
I'm entering a new week.
Fresh.
Open.
Ready.
I'm entering a new week.
Fresh.
Open.
Ready.
Tapping on the side of the eye.
I carry forward only what genuinely serves me.
I carry forward only what genuinely serves me.
Tapping under the eye.
I leave behind what weighs me down,
The worry,
The unfinished pressure.
I leave behind what weighs me down.
The worry,
The unfinished pressure.
Tapping under the nose,
I arrive at this new week with more space,
More ease.
I arrive at this new week with more space,
More ease.
Tapping on the chin,
Each week is a beginning.
And this one,
Starting now,
I choose freely.
Each week is a beginning and this one,
Starting now,
I choose freely.
Tapping on the collarbone.
I am someone who closes the week with intention.
Who rests,
Who takes care of myself.
I am someone who closes the week with intention,
Who rests,
Who takes care of myself.
Tapping under the arm.
Sunday evening is not dread,
It is a threshold.
The space between what was and what is coming.
Sunday evening is not dread.
It is a threshold.
The space between what was and what is coming.
And tapping on the top of the head.
I release the weak behind me.
I opened the week ahead.
I release the week behind me.
I open to the week ahead.
And right now,
In this moment.
I allow myself peace and grace.
And right now,
In this moment,
I allow myself peace and grace.
Stop tapping.
Take one long,
Slow breath in.
And let it go completely.
Let your hands rest where they fall.
Let your face soften.
Your jaw release.
Your shoulders drop.
Let your whole body settle into whatever is supporting you.
Now check back in with that number from 0 to 10.
Where are you now?
Has some of that heaviness,
That weight,
That pressure,
That overwhelm reduced,
Even just a little bit.
Notice the shift.
Over large or small.
That is the week beginning to loosen its grip on your body.
That is your nervous system receiving a signal that it's safe to rest,
Safe to close,
Safe to begin again.
You've done something important tonight.
You've drawn a line between last week and this week.
You've given yourself the gift of a real threshold.
A moment of genuine transition.
Rather than simply sliding from one weekend to the next without ever quite putting one down and consciously picking the other up.
And that is what this practice is for.
If that number is not shifted as much as you'd like.
You can repeat it.
And each time you do.
You'll find yourself settling more fully into the moment.
Thank you for joining me today.
May the week ahead be one of joy and gratitude.
