Hello and welcome to a self-connection and awareness mindfulness exercise.
Find a nice,
Quiet place where you can sit for five to ten minutes,
Where you won't be interrupted.
Choose a space where you're comfortable,
Have a glass of water with you.
You can sit or you can lay down,
It is entirely up to you.
And when you're ready and you are comfortable,
Close your eyes and take a nice,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Expanding the chest and your belly and gently release the breath,
Slow and softly.
Feel your body beginning to relax,
Feel all tension and stress being released as you continue to breathe slowly and deeply.
Allowing your shoulders to relax and all the muscles in the body to let go.
Now bring your awareness in,
Continuing with the breath,
You notice the rhythmic,
Deep,
Slow breathing.
Now notice your thoughts,
Your feelings,
Observe the parts of the body that these might reside.
We're just observing without judgement,
Just noticing all the sensations,
Feelings and thoughts.
Now you can see a soft light beginning to glow from your heart space and you see this light becoming brighter and brighter.
This is the light of your inner wisdom and your true higher self coming through,
Continuing to breathe slowly and deeply.
With every breath in the light grows brighter and with every breath out it expands further around your body.
You feel this beginning to move gently and slowly encompassing your entire self,
You feel the warmth of the light.
And as you sit you again go back to thinking and noticing your thoughts,
Your feelings,
To the non-judgmental observation of how your body and your mind is working with this inner light.
The inner light of your true self,
Your higher self.
Now silently repeat to yourself,
I am deeply connected to my inner wisdom,
I trust the guidance within me.
I am deeply connected to my inner wisdom,
I trust the guidance within me.
I am deeply connected to my inner wisdom,
I trust the guidance within me.
Now just allowing any thoughts or feelings or insights to gently come to focus,
Trusting whatever comes or even if there is nothing that comes there is still wisdom in the silence.
Rest here for a few moments,
Feeling connected,
Aware and whole.
Continuing to take those nice gentle deep breaths in and out.
Continuing to notice your thoughts,
Your feelings,
Perhaps the parts of the body they reside in.
Just observing and getting to know where they are coming from and allowing your thoughts to come and go.
Still saying to yourself,
I am deeply connected to my inner wisdom,
I trust the guidance within me.
I am deeply connected to my inner wisdom,
I trust the guidance within me.
I am deeply connected to my inner wisdom,
I trust the guidance within me.
Continuing the nice slow deep breath in and out,
Fully expanding the belly and the chest.
And bringing your awareness back into the now moment,
To the environment around you.
And listening to the breath,
Gently wriggling your toes and your fingers and opening your eyes.
Taking a moment to stretch and allow yourself to come back into the now moment,
Refreshed,
Revitalized and re-energized.
Knowing your inner wisdom is with you and you have access consciously to connect whenever you want to.
Take some time to have a drink of water and to just reflect on the experience.
