Welcome to this meditation to help you drift into sleep,
Preparing your space,
Your bed,
Getting as cozy and comfortable as you'd like to be,
Pausing the recording if you need,
And then coming back when you're ready,
Checking to make sure you're as comfortable as you'd like to be,
Checking your body if you need to take a stretch,
Or find the right position you have the control to choose what you need,
To settle yourself in,
To help you get a little bit more comfortable,
Creating an inviting environment for your deepest and best quality of slumber,
Knowing that every tiny little effort you make is for your well-being.
As you become more and more subtle,
Connect to both body and breath,
Feeling the beautiful ebb and flow of your breath and your body receiving this life force.
If your mind begins to think,
Know the breath without judging whatever comes up,
Today,
Or the day after that,
To each moment as it arises,
You're present to yourself,
Maintaining a sweet,
Simple presence,
Allowing yourself to just be,
Simply be,
Softly be,
As you let your body become heavier and heavier,
Heavier and heavier,
Bringing you closer and closer,
Each moment,
Refreshing sleep,
Resting at peace.
If a thought enters your mind,
No need to entertain or entangle with it,
Just be aware,
Each thought,
Into the quiet stillness around you,
Into the peaceful,
Still evening,
Enjoying this process of letting go,
That you're walking,
It's the evening,
The air is cool,
You can hear an owl in the distance,
As you walk along the stone path,
It's like a mirror of glass,
Of stars around you,
Each tiny little star,
To some forming constellations in the sky,
You see a shooting star,
Your attention anchored into each moment,
Because there's no activity within you,
Even as you breathe,
The air you breathe is cool,
You're receiving your breath,
Without doing anything,
Even when you drift off into a deep sleep,
Nourishing your body,
Your mind surrenders the activity of the day,
Becomes soft and supple,
Begins to dissolve,
You dissolve your future,
The present moment,
Soothing you,
Into a good night's sleep,
Reflecting the moon,
If you looked above the lake,
Into the midnight blue sky,
You can see the stars,
Dancing,
Beginning to form a word,
Peace,
Peace,
Shining above,
You see the reflection of the words form,
Brilliantly,
Clearly,
On that,
You're surrounded by peace,
This connection to peace,
This connection to stillness,
A deep soft stillness,
That resides within you,
As you allow yourself to relax,
A sweet soft rest,
This peace that you have,
As you stay in a state of restful sleep,
Going into a deeper state of relaxation,
If you're moving into the rest of your evening,
In sleep softly and sweetly,
