Close your eyes,
Little one.
Lie very still like a sleepy little fish floating in a warm quiet sea.
Take a big breath in through your nose.
Breathe out slowly like soft little bubbles rise into the top.
Feel your feet.
They are soft and heavy like two little fish resting on the sandy bottom.
Now feel your legs.
They're relaxing too.
Melting into the warm water.
Your tummy is soft.
Rising and falling gently like the tide.
Your shoulders drop down.
Your arms are heavy and still.
Your face is smooth and quiet.
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your lips,
All soft and peaceful.
Now imagine you are a tiny,
Beautiful fish swimming in a warm,
Glowing ocean.
The water around you is the colour of a summer sky.
Blue and shimmery.
Slowly,
Slowly you swim down.
Down to a wonderful little cave covered in soft pink coral.
Inside the cave is the coziest bed of seagrass you've ever seen.
You curl up inside it.
For safe.
And your war.
And the ocean rocks you gently like a cradle.
You rest here,
Perfectly peaceful,
As the ocean hums a lullaby all around you.
You can stay here for as long as you like,
Little fish.
Breathing softly.
Resting deeply.
When you wake up,
You will feel refreshed and happy,
Like sunshine on the water.
Sleep now,
Little one.
Sleep.
