Transcript

Welcome to this guided meditation,

Tuning in and accessing the spirit of nature.

And so first,

If you find a comfortable position to rest,

This may be lying down or seated and then gently closing down the eyes and then just gently noticing the breath,

The in-breath and the out-breath,

How it flows naturally,

Without any force and just gently noticing the rhythm of your own in-breath and out-breath.

And now noticing the body,

Feeling the ground beneath you and the texture of the air and we're going to go on a guided visualization.

I want you to imagine that you are sat in a clearing next to a beautiful lake,

Surrounded by reeds and mature trees and long grasses.

And the surface of the water moves,

Ripples slightly and gently and you feel the warmth of the sunshine on your skin,

The soft breeze in your hair.

You notice the sounds surrounding you in all directions,

The birdsong,

The rustling of the leaves,

The insects.

The pulse of life in all directions and you are part of this,

You are not separate.

And just take a moment to imagine and see,

Sense and feel this beautiful world surrounding you,

Within you.

Feel the aliveness and your connection to it and this is the spirit of nature,

The energy that flows through all things,

All life.

And it flows through you and we,

When we remember this connection,

That we are not separate,

We start to see things with new eyes.

We feel the aliveness in our own body,

Being here for a moment longer,

Next to this lake,

Surrounded by long grasses and birdsong and feeling so held.

This is home.

Feel how peaceful it feels,

Knowing that you are not separate.

And now just gently bringing your awareness back to your body,

Maybe wiggling fingers and toes and when you are ready,

Opening your eyes.
