Do you ever find that your mind grabs onto one thought and just won't let it go?
You kind of get stuck.
In this loop or this unhelpful cycle and maybe you're replaying a conversation that you had earlier in the day or you're imagining the worst case scenario that that could potentially happen or analyzing every single possibility And none of this is really serving you.
It is not helping you in any way,
Right?
And sometimes it can be really hard to break that loop.
But a tool that can help you with this is the emotional freedom techniques,
Also known as tapping.
And that is what we are going to do today.
So if you are new here,
My name is Lauren Fonville.
I am an EFT trainer certified through EFT International.
What you no longer need so that you can feel good and calm in your body.
So all you need to do is tap where I'm tapping.
We're going to start on the pinky side of the hand.
And I want you to roll those shoulders,
Maybe move the head from side to side,
Really feel yourself sitting in the seat that you're sitting on.
And take some nice deep breaths.
Even now.
My mind keeps.
.
.
Going in cycles and I'm stuck in this loop.
All you need to do is tap where I'm tapping and repeat after me.
Even though my mind keeps going in circles and I feel stuck in this loop.
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though my mind.
Just keeps going in circles.
I'm feeling stuck.
I'm doing the best that I can even though My mind is going in circles.
And I'm overthinking.
Right here,
Right now,
I'm acknowledging it.
We're going to move to the top of the head,
The crown of the head.
My mind is stuck in this loop.
Come to the eyebrows.
I can't stop replaying it.
My brain keeps searching for answers.
All of this is so exhausting.
Reminding yourself to take some nice deep breaths here.
There's a part of me.
That thinks I need to figure this out.
If I stop thinking about these things.
Maybe something's gonna go wrong.
I know this is my mind.
Trying to protect me.
But right now,
Keeping me stuck.
I feel so stuck in this loop of unhelpful thoughts.
Just pause there,
Take a nice deep breath.
Notice what's coming up for you.
Notice how saying that out loud might feel.
Maybe there are words that are more specific to you and your specific situation.
And if there are,
I encourage you to pause the video and put some words to how you are feeling in this moment,
Because the more specific that you can get with tapping.
The better and the more effective it's going to be for you.
If you're still with me,
Let's just keep tapping,
Coming back to that pinky side of the hand.
Even though my mind keeps overthinking,
I'm open to letting my body feel safe.
Even though my mind keeps overthinking.
I'm ready for my body to feel safe.
Even though my mind feels caught in this.
Cycle this loop It's time for me to feel safe.
Coming up to the crown of the head again.
Maybe it's just my brain's way of looking for certainty.
Coming to the eyebrows.
My brain's way of trying to protect me.
To prevent discomfort.
That's how I'm trying to stay in control when really.
I.
.
.
Don't feel in control.
But I don't need to solve it all right now.
I can soften the sense of urgency.
I can.
Choose to step out of this loop.
And redirect my attention.
My body is.
.
.
Capable of holding safety and feeling safe.
Even when I don't have all the answers.
Feeling safe as possible.
Take another nice deep breath.
Let it go.
And again,
Checking in with the mind,
Maybe noticing other thoughts that are coming up for you.
Checking in with the body.
Are you feeling any particular physical sensations in the body?
All of this is important.
And again,
If you need to pause and really focus on what you are experiencing,
I will always,
Always,
Always encourage you to do that.
We're going to come back to the pinky side of the hand.
Even though I've been stuck in this loop for a while.
I'm open to peace and presence.
And trust.
Even though I.
Found myself stuck in this loop for a while.
Choosing to lean into the present moment.
And to trust myself.
Even though I've been stuck in this unhelpful thought loop.
Right here,
Right now,
I'm shining light on it.
Coming to the top of that.
Right here right now I'm releasing this.
Need to mentally spin out.
I'm allowing the thoughts to slow down.
I'm choosing presence.
Over panic.
I deserve to be present.
I can trust myself.
I know clarity comes when I'm calm.
I don't have to force it.
I don't need all the answers.
My mind can rest right now.
Right here,
Right now.
I'm safe Take a nice deep breath.
Let it go.
I'm hoping that your body feels a little safer a little calmer after that if you need to continue to tap I encourage you to do that.
And as always,
Connect with yourself and use some of your own words here.
As a practitioner,
You know,
Obviously I'm always wanting to try to guide you through this practice,
But you are the one who's in control here and you know what you need and learning how to kind of find the right words is part of this practice.
And you can keep it really simple.
You can just.
Really connect with.
The emotion that you're feeling and just saying that one emotion over and over again,
As you tap through until another emotion surfaces or another thought surfaces and just allow it to.
Flow in that way and trust that you're being led exactly where you need to go.
I am sending so much love your way and I'm here to support you however I can.
Take care of yourself.
Bye-bye.
