Greetings and welcome to today's meditation,
Liberating the Perfectionist.
Today,
We meet the part that seeks perfection.
Let your body rest.
Invite your breath to find you.
Because you are human,
Not flawless,
Yet still worthy.
Imagine a white sheet with creases,
Full of imperfections.
Yet,
It holds beauty.
It is beautiful.
Perfection is a shield.
It's not your truth.
It is something that's used to just try and keep you safe.
Extend a gentle invitation to the perfectionist part.
Invite it to come forward,
To spend a little time with you.
To get acquainted,
Or even to connect.
Lean in with a little curiosity.
What would happen if I got it wrong?
Listen attentively,
Carefully,
To what the perfectionist part has to share with you.
Listen with an open heart,
And even some compassion.
Maybe it shares that it fears rejection,
Or that it's worried about shame,
Or that it has some concerns about punishment.
What can you offer it in this moment,
As it's sharing with you?
Speak to the part.
Help it to know and understand,
I don't have to be perfect to be loved.
Because love is not earned through flawlessness.
Because I am whole.
And just see how it receives that message.
Repeat it again.
I don't have to be perfect to be loved.
Because love is not earned through flawlessness.
Because I am whole.
And just see how your part responds to that message.
Share with it,
I free myself from the need to be perfect.
Because mistakes grow me.
Because I choose truth over appearance.
Observe how that lands with your part.
How does perfectionist take that?
What are you noticing in your body?
I free myself from the need to be perfect.
How does that feel to hear that?
Because mistakes grow me.
How does it feel to acknowledge that truth?
Because I choose truth over appearance.
What are you noticing in your system?
Just be aware of it.
You don't have to do anything with it right now,
If you don't want to.
Just notice how it feels to have that truth being released.
Invited in to your body.
Invited in to your parts.
Thank perfectionist for showing up.
For sharing with you.
And for even considering that there is another way of being.
Another way of operating.
And when it feels right,
I'm going to invite you back in to this time and space.
Inviting you to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
Take this truth with you as you go throughout your day.
I don't have to be perfect to be loved.
I free myself from the need to be perfect.
Because love is not earned through flawlessness.
Because mistakes grow me.
Because I am whole just the way that I am.
Because I choose truth over appearance.
Thank you so much for being here.
And bye-bye for now.
