Hello dear one,
Welcome to Inner Haven.
I am Megan and I will be guiding you through a somatic meditation to help you ground into the present.
This is your time to slow down,
Soften,
And return to yourself in the present moment Grounding is a way of coming home.
Home to your body.
Home to the earth.
Home to this exact moment.
Take a gentle breath in through your nose.
And exhale slowly through your mouth like a soft sigh of relief Let yourself arrive fully here.
Take a moment to look around your space letting your eyes land on whatever feels soothing or comforting.
Notice the colors,
Textures,
And shapes in the room.
Allow your body to register that you are here and you are safe.
Maybe you see a plant,
A soft blanket,
Or a spot of sunlight.
Let yourself take it in slowly Like a sip of warm tea.
This simple act of seeing helps your nervous system settle before we go deeper Ask yourself softly.
What do I need right now to feel just 1% more comfortable?
Maybe it is adjusting your position Grabbing a blanket or pillow.
Taking a sip of water.
Placing a hand on your heart or wherever feels more supportive.
Make this small shift with care and let your body know,
I am cared for,
I am safe.
Now bring your attention to the parts of your body that are touching the ground or support beneath you.
Notice the way the earth holds you,
Steady and constant.
Let your awareness travel down from your hips and seat into your legs from your legs down into your feet.
From your feet all the way into the ground beneath you.
Imagine your body is a tree Your feet and legs are like strong roots reaching down into the soil.
Feel the solidness of the earth always there to support you If it feels good to you,
Whisper to yourself,
I am rooted,
I am steady,
I am safe.
I am rooted.
I am steady.
I am safe.
Now place one hand gently on your belly Notice how it moves as you breathe.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Letting your belly expand softly like a balloon Then exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing tension like you're blowing out a candle.
Again,
Breathing slowly in through your nose Letting your belly expand into any shape it needs to and exhaling slowly through your mouth releasing tension.
With every inhale,
Imagine breathing in calm and stability.
With every exhale,
Imagine letting go of anything heavy or scattered.
Continue for a few rounds,
Letting your breath anchor you deeper into the present moment If your mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just come back to your breath.
Returning to your natural breath pattern.
If it feels comfortable to you,
Gently press your feet into the floor Feel the strength beneath you Notice the muscles in your legs engaging and supporting you You might also place your hands on your thighs,
Feeling their warmth and weight Let this touch remind you of your physical presence solid,
Here and alive.
As you breathe.
Silently say to yourself,
This is my body.
This is my ground.
This is my home.
This is my body.
This is my ground.
This is my home.
Keeping your feet pressing into the floor I invite you to invite small organic movements into your body.
This might look like slowly swaying side to side.
Rolling your shoulders back and down Stretching your arms like branches of a tree.
Any intuitive movement is welcome here.
Move at the pace of your breath Imagine your body moving from a place of rooted stability,
Like a tree swaying gently in the breeze while its roots stay firmly planted.
Staying here for a few moments with your intuitive movements.
Gradually let the movement fade into stillness.
Take a deep steady breath in and a long grounding breath out Rest in the quiet for a moment,
Feeling the weight of your body,
The steadiness of your breath and the unwavering support of the earth beneath you When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes or lift your gaze.
Notice the space around you and notice how you feel inside leaving you with this mantra today I am grounded.
I am steady.
I can return to this feeling anytime I need.
I am grounded.
I am steady.
I can return to this feeling anytime I need.
Carry this sense of rootedness with you as you move into the rest of your day,
Trusting the ground to hold you always.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
