Let Your Eyes Find Something Safe In The Room
If your body feels on alert, start with what is already here. Gently let your eyes land on one neutral or comforting thing in the room. Nothing to analyze. Nothing to solve. Just a small signal to your nervous system: “right now, I’m here, and I’m safe enough.” This is a short grounding practice for anxiety, overwhelm, or that urgent feeling that shows up out of nowhere. You can listen sitting up, standing, or lying down. If your mind keeps running, let it. We’re not arguing with it. We’re returning to the present in a softer way. Keywords: grounding, anxiety relief, nervous system, overwhelm, safety, somatic regulation. BEST FOR: Feeling on edge or hypervigilant. Racing thoughts + body tension. Quick reset before sleep or work. After too much stimulation. If this helps, tap Follow to keep these small resets close.
