Guided Meditation to Open You Up to Love and to Feel Love's Presence This is a simple meditation to open you up to love.
We will focus equally on giving as well as receiving love.
Allow yourself to get comfortable now in either a seated or reclined position.
Just be sure your spine is straight and relaxed.
Be certain you are capable of having your palms facing up in a receptive gesture,
Lying on your lap or by your sides.
You just want your palms facing up.
Let's begin by taking three deep centering breaths,
Focusing on one full inhale and one full complete exhale.
And again,
One deep,
Deep inhale and one full exhale.
One deep,
Deep inhale and one full,
Deep,
Relaxing and centering exhale.
You are here fully receptive now,
Getting comfortable in your body.
Just continue breathing now as you listen to my voice,
Letting go of any tension you feel in your neck,
Jaw,
Shoulders or lower back or hips.
You can roll your head or shrug or roll your shoulders or stretch your back to let go of any tension you may feel.
And then just come back to a centered position.
And as you breathe slowly in and out through your nose,
Bring your awareness to your heart.
Just focus your attention gently on your heart space in your chest.
Feel into this space.
Breathe now directly into your heart.
You may have been experiencing some challenging or what you might call heartbreaking experiences.
And your heart may even feel tender at this time.
Just hold all of your experiences in your awareness now with loving,
Kind acceptance.
And now shift your awareness over to your left palm.
Feel your hand,
Your palm,
Your fingertips.
Notice if there's any sensation here in the palm of your hand.
The left side of your body is the receptive side of your body.
Now beginning with your next breath,
Imagine yourself breathing every breath through your left palm and up into your chest and right into your heart.
You are opening the receptive channel of your body now.
Inhaling love into your heart.
Let this love settle into your heart now.
You may feel some energy or heat in your left hand or up into your arm and heart.
Inhaling love and on the exhale,
Just ground this love energy into your heart.
And now say this inwardly.
I am loved.
I am loving.
I am whole.
I receive love gratefully.
I am at one with my divine self.
I am love.
I am love.
I am love.
Now shift your awareness over to your right hand and your right palm.
And now as you breathe,
See yourself giving love through your right hand,
Your right palm.
Sending love out into the world.
Unconditional love flowing out into the world directly from your heart through your right arm and out into the world.
From your heart flowing out through your right palm.
Inhaling now into your heart and exhaling through your right hand.
And keep seeing this love flow through you now for a few more breaths.
Now let's balance these two actions to flow effortlessly through you by combining the two actions to symbolize the balance within you of giving and receiving love.
As you breathe in,
See the love come in through your left hand and up through your arm and into your heart where it fills your heart to overflow down your right arm and into and out of your right palm and out into the world.
Inhale receive love through the left hand into the heart.
Exhale and radiate that love out your right hand.
Keep going this way for a few more breaths,
Receiving love on the inhale and giving love on the exhale.
One long,
Deep,
Beautiful flow of grace moving through you now.
No hesitation,
Just receiving and giving love now as one continuous awareness.
In A Course in Miracles,
Jesus says to give and receive in one motion.
In that way,
We stay completely out of our ego.
No mind,
No intellect involved,
Just receiving from the divine and giving from our heart.
Now let's mindfully bring your hands together over your heart space,
Symbolizing the unity of the connection of giving and receiving.
And you can press your thumbs now into your heart using the Anjali Mudra.
And now take a big,
Deep breath in through your nose and out of your mouth.
And allow yourself to come back into the room that you're in now,
Knowing you are blessed and that you are the embodiment of love.
You can gently bow forward.
Namaste.
You can do this meditation at any time,
Even for just a few moments to center you during your day.
And I suggest that you journal about your experience,
Noticing what your own individual experience is and on how you can balance equally giving and receiving love.
