Welcome to this guided meditation for soothing irritation.

I invite you to take a few moments just for you,

Where you can rest and regroup.

Take a deep breath and let it go,

And now imagine everything that you might find soothing.

It might be music,

The soft fur of an animal friend,

The touch of a loved one,

Perhaps the warmth of the sun,

Flower petals,

A warm drink,

A hot bath,

The soothing qualities of your favorite colors,

Your favorite scents,

Gentle rocking,

Soft humming,

Watching a fire,

Being held,

Hearing a heartbeat,

The smell of food cooking.

Imagine feeling soothed.

What makes you feel comforted,

Quieted,

And reassured?

What makes you feel like you can let go and receive?

Take some time and remember moments you've felt this way before.

Evoke these qualities now and let yourself be comforted.

Feel these qualities.

Bring them into your body,

These soothing qualities.

Imagine them vividly.

Open up to them.

Now imagine that these qualities merge together and become a warm stream.

You can float on this stream.

Imagine this calming,

Comforting stream is below you and it is carrying you.

Imagine that it carries you down deeper and deeper and deeper into yourself.

You can relax even more as you go down,

Down,

Floating on this warm stream,

Gently carrying you,

A current of tranquil energy.

You might hear this soothing music.

Feel yourself bathed in the harmonizing energies of this stream,

Like you are suspended in this energy,

Warm and supportive,

Buoyant and beautiful.

Imagine the caress of this energy.

Let the energy soothe and roll through your whole being.

Breathe and feel it roll through every cell in your body.

Feel your spirit being soothed.

Breathe and your mind is quieted.

Breathe,

Comfort your heart,

Feel your body being soothed,

Comforted,

Quieted.

Feel a shift taking place deep inside of you as you are soothed by the harmonizing forces of that which you are imagining.

Imagining these harmonizing energies spreading,

Let this soothing energy roll through all of the things that you've found irritating lately.

Soothing all the rough edges,

All the dense energy,

The part of you that's been overworked.

Imagine all the edges,

Confusions,

Anxieties,

Tensions,

As they simply dissolve into this soothing,

Harmonizing energy.

Feel your whole self and your whole life relaxing into this harmonizing energy.

Take as much time as you want in this peaceful place.

And when you decide you're ready,

You can wiggle your fingers and toes,

Gently come back into the room,

And choose to re-enter your day from a more peaceful place.
