Welcome to this guided meditation for when you need extra support.
I invite you to take a moment to take a deep breath and let it go.
And on your next breath,
See how much you can drop inside your body.
Breathing in and dropping down.
Breathing in and dropping down.
Just keep breathing.
And now I invite you to find yourself in a field.
And in the center of that field is a warm,
Roaring fire.
And around the fire are couches and chairs and swings.
Find your little nest to curl up in front of this fire.
And here we will call upon every bit of support that you can take in.
First,
We're going to call in everyone who has ever supported you in the past.
Bring your awareness to those who have supported you.
Remember moments in life that you received a smile and support.
Remember those who encouraged you.
Maybe family or friends.
People who stood by you.
Anyone who might have cared for you.
Or believed in you.
A teacher.
A friend.
A neighbor.
A colleague.
Remember their support.
And let those times parade through your mind.
Maybe times when there was a challenge ahead.
Or maybe when you graduated.
Or a time of crisis.
People came and offered their support.
They believed in you.
They applauded your efforts.
They still care.
They take pleasure in you and your success.
Let these people join your circle and breathe in their support.
They are rooting for you.
What would they say to you?
Listen to their voices.
Feel this support make your courage grow.
Open to it.
Believe in yourself as they do.
They are with you in spirit and all around you.
And they empower you to move forward as well.
Now let's call upon your allies.
There are others who share your care and your conviction.
Others who are going through what you are.
Or who want the changes you want.
There are people you haven't even met yet.
But they share your cares.
Invite in anyone or anything you can.
Or anything who understands your situation and can believe with you.
Imagine joining forces in life and letting your spirits glow in the care and support that you share.
They will stick with you.
They are behind you.
If there is some way that you would like them to watch over you,
Imagine asking them for that.
Notice if there is anyone in particular that you might want to ask into your life.
And go ahead and do so.
Now let's call in any elders you would like.
People from older generations who have lived and learned and are happy to share with you.
Appreciate the wisdoms of those who have lived through so much and witnessed decades.
Invite them into your circle to be with you through the challenges before you.
Open to their presence and wisdom.
What are they saying to you?
And now let's invite in the ancestors.
Those who have gone before,
Who made your life possible.
They worked hard for their children and their children's children.
Can you notice any gifts that they have passed on that made your life possible?
What strengths coursed through their blood and now course through yours?
Invite them to be with you now and listen to what they would like to say to you.
And now let's call in the spirits.
Whatever that means for you.
It could be nature,
It could be angels,
It could be religious figures,
Energy,
Colors.
Invite in whatever speaks to you.
In this realm and fill your circle and everyone around you with it.
Notice what it feels like to bask in these energies.
And let's invite the future ones.
People from the future,
Future generations.
What might they have to say to you about what's happening now?
They are rooting for you too.
They are with you.
They want your success.
And finally,
Recognize everything that you bring.
Think about times that you've gotten through hard times.
What qualities have gotten you through?
Perseverance,
Patience,
Faith,
Stubbornness,
Love,
Community.
What qualities do you need to remember have always been there for you and pull you through difficult times?
I invite you to look around this circle by the fireside and take into every cell of your being the strength,
The support,
The willingness of everything and everyone who wants you to be well.
And if you like,
You might think of a symbol to recognize this.
What would represent this feeling now?
And if you have that symbol,
Tuck it into your pocket or into your heart and you can call upon that symbol anytime that you want to call up this feeling.
Take all the time you want in this circle.
And when you are ready,
You can come back to the room and wiggle your fingers and toes,
Knowing that you are changed for taking this time,
That you are stronger,
You are supported,
You are backed up,
And you will make it through this.
