Meditation Timer OnlineDr. Martin Picard’s life is dedicated to research, innovation, and communication in service of human flourishing. His research at Columbia has bridged mitochondrial biology, bioenergetics, and aging science with psychosocial sciences, contemplative practices, and mitochondrial medicine. His group's rigorous inter-disciplinary research program has built a foundation for the nascent field of Mitochondrial Psychobiology that explores the mind-mitochondria connection. Martin is the author of the forthcoming book ENERGY: The New Science of Vitality, Healing, and Transformation (2027). In support of a growing community movement, he writes for The Science and Experience of Energy (TSEE) Substack publication. Martin is founder of the Energy and Healing Institute ⎸ EHI, a non-profit organization that develops and deploys healing science to help people flourish, catalyzing the evolution of biomedicine to better support physical and mental health. Working with visionary partners and collaborators, Martin is passionate to serve scientifically-informed, energetically-inspired initiatives that drive cultural and scientific transformation toward a healthier, more compassionate, and sustainable world.
