Welcome.
Thank you so much for joining me.
My name is Mark.
In this meditation,
I invite you to become one with the wind.
To soar high above the golden sands of ancient Egypt.
To drift into a peaceful,
Dreamlike state as we fly over timeless temples,
Pyramids and the flowing river Nile.
Let your imagination carry you.
Let the stillness settle in.
And when you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Let your body begin to settle,
Supported by the surface beneath you.
There's nowhere to go now.
Nothing to do.
This time is just for you.
Take a deep,
Slow breath in.
And breathe all the way out.
Feel your body softening with each exhale.
Letting go.
Now,
Imagine yourself becoming lighter.
Almost weightless.
Your body dissolves into the air.
And in your mind's eye,
You transform into a majestic eagle.
Powerful wings stretch wide beside you.
Feathers shining bronze and gold in the morning light.
You feel the wind cradle you effortlessly.
Lifting you high above a sun-drenched desert.
Far below,
The golden sands of Egypt shimmer like a sea of light.
Dunes roll like waves frozen in time.
And beyond them,
Carved from the stone of the earth itself,
The great pyramids rise,
Reaching up into the sky.
You glide in silence.
Effortless.
Timeless.
You circle one of the great pyramids.
Its limestone blocks sunlit and warm.
A marvel of human hands and divine geometry.
As you swoop lower,
You hear faint sounds.
The rhythmic beating of drums from a temple.
The whisper of the desert wind rushing against stone.
You feel completely at peace.
Cradled by the vastness of the sky and grounded by the ancient earth below.
Now,
You soar higher again,
Above the lush banks of the Nile.
Palm trees sway gently in the breeze.
Papyrus reeds dance at the water's edge.
And the river glistens like a silver snake winding its way through the land.
Below,
Boats drift lazily,
Sails catching the wind,
Fishermen casting nets,
Children laughing in the distance.
You swoop low again,
Wings skimming the water,
Sending ripples across the surface.
Cool mist rises to meet you,
Refreshing and light.
Up ahead,
You see the Sphinx,
Mysterious and silent,
Its ancient eyes gazing into the depths of eternity.
You circle above it slowly,
Feeling the age,
The wisdom,
The stillness of centuries beneath you.
Now,
The sun begins to set,
A golden blaze melting into the soft purples and deep indigo.
The desert is cooling and the sky becomes an ocean of stars.
You drift higher,
Higher,
Into the dark velvet sky,
Each star twinkling like a lantern guiding you into the dream world.
You feel so peaceful,
So safe,
Embraced by the night,
Held by the air.
Now,
You begin to descend slowly,
Drifting down like a feather.
Your wings grow heavier,
Your breath slower.
Gently,
You land on the branch of an acacia tree,
Still and steady,
The warmth of the day still glowing on your feathers.
You fold your wings,
Nestle in and surrender to rest.
The desert sleeps now,
The river rests,
The temples dream in silence and so do you.
Let go now,
Drift off into deep healing sleep,
Carried by the wings of the eagle over the sands of time,
On into your dreams.
