Breathing into your own rhythm.
With breathing into your own rhythm,
We offer ourselves the quiet gift of deep abdominal breathing.
Guided by soft images and flowing music.
This is your personal space.
Your quiet space.
Shaped to meet you just as you are.
There is no single path,
No perfect volume,
No rules,
Only the gentle rhythm of your breath.
And the music that follows like a stream beneath your thoughts.
You may choose to stay with the images and reflections from the narrative,
Or.
.
.
Drift freely,
Letting your breath and the music carry you to places where words grow still.
With each return to this practice,
The imprint deepens,
Shaping how your body feels peace,
How your thoughts soften.
How your spirit settles.
Let the breath flow gently.
Let the music guide.
And let yourself simply be.
So to help locate the focus of this relaxation-inducing breathing,
We're going to do the following.
Getting into a comfortable sitting or lying down position.
This is the place and position you're going to feel most comfortable.
Your warm nest.
Make sure that your spine is straight,
But not stiff.
And now.
Take a couple big,
Deep breaths with me.
Big deep breath,
Breathe in.
And breathe out slowly.
And breathe in deeply.
And let the breath go slowly.
And now settle in.
Now,
Breathing in through the nose,
And while doing this,
Pushing the muscles of your abdomen lightly outwards,
Expanding your abdomen.
And when you blow the air out slowly through the mouth.
Pulling your abdomen lightly in,
Returning to its original position.
And now breathing in through the nose.
And releasing the breath out through the mouth.
And breathing in through the nose.
And letting the breath go out through the mouth.
Breathing slowly.
And releasing the breath slowly.
Breathing in slowly.
And breathing out slowly.
And now.
To let the structured breathing go.
We're going to first take a couple of deep breaths again.
Breathing with me.
Breathe in deeply.
And breathing out deeply.
And now.
.
.
Breathing normally while in this relaxed state.
Give yourself the time you need.
Following your own rhythm and your own tempo.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
Now,
In your imagination,
On the next out-breath,
Let the air from your abdomen flow into all of your appendages.
Imagine that the air is flowing into your arms.
Hands and fingers,
And then into your legs,
Feet and toes,
Like the rays of the sun.
Your breath is flowing from your center into all of your appendages.
Your arms and legs are becoming more and more relaxed.
Let's practice that for a moment.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
Breathe in.
And letting the breath go.
Like the rays of the sun flowing from your center into all of your appendages.
One more time,
Breathe in.
And flow out.
Now we're going to listen to some relaxing music.
Again,
Feel free to adjust the volume to your needs.
Some people like to hear calming background music,
While other people prefer to let a fuller volume of music flow more intensely through your body.
So let the music take you to where you need to go.
While feeling the music in your body.
Noticing the sensations you're feeling,
And letting the music flow.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out in your own tempo and rhythm.
And keep breathing as long as it feels good while the music plays.
The End
