Find a comfortable position,
Either lying down or sitting with your back supported.
Allow your hands to rest softly.
And if you wish,
Close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Gentle breath in.
And let it go with a long,
Easy sigh.
Begin by bringing your awareness to the crown of your head.
Imagine a soft,
Warm breeze brushing over your scalp,
Soothing and relaxing you.
With each breath,
Let this breeze drift down.
Relaxing your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
And your jaw.
Feel your face soften,
As if the wind is gently smoothing away any tension.
Let your attention move to your shoulders.
Imagine the breeze swirling around them,
Loosening any tightness or weight you might be carrying.
With each exhale,
Feel your shoulders drop a little lower,
As if you are setting down a heavy bag you've been carrying for far too long.
Let the wind travel down your arms,
All the way to your fingertips.
Notice any sensations or emotions that arise.
And with every breath,
Allow the breeze to sweep away what feels heavy or stuck.
Move your awareness to your chest and heart.
Imagine the wind moving through you,
Clearing out old worries,
Regrets,
Or expectations.
Like dust being lifted from a windowsill.
With each inhale,
Breathe in fresh,
Clean air.
With each exhale,
Let go of what you no longer wish to hold.
Let this gentle wind continue down your body,
Your belly,
Your hips,
Your legs.
All the way to your toes.
With every breath,
Feel yourself growing lighter,
As if the wind is lifting away layers of tension,
Self-judgment,
Or fear.
Now imagine yourself standing in a wide,
Open field at dusk.
The sky is painted in soft colours,
And the air is cool and sweet.
Above you,
The wind dances through tall grasses,
Carrying with it the scents of earth and wildflowers.
You feel safe and free.
In your hands,
You hold a handful of autumn leaves.
Each leaf represents something you're ready to surrender.
A worry,
A belief,
A memory,
Or a hope that no longer serves you.
When you feel ready,
Open your hands and let the wind gently take the leaves from your palms.
Watch as they rise,
Swirl,
And disappear into the sky,
Carried far beyond your sight.
Feel the relief in your body,
The sense of space that opens up inside you.
Notice how the earth supports you,
How the sky welcomes your release.
There is nothing you need to do now.
Just breathe,
And let yourself be held by the openness all around you.
Rest here for a few moments,
Feeling the peace that comes from letting go.
If any new tension or thought arises,
Imagine the breeze returning to carry it away as many times as you need.
When you feel ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to your breath,
To your body,
And to the room around you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
And open your eyes softly.
Remember,
Surrender is a practice,
One that grows with each breath,
Each moment of letting go,
Each act of gentle presence.
It is not about giving up,
But about discovering the wisdom and freedom that arise when we trust the flow of life.
