For these next few moments,
You are allowed to simply be.
Let the body settle in its own way,
Without trying to adjust or improve anything.
There is no perfect posture here,
No special way to breathe.
Just gently arrive as you are,
Meeting this moment without effort.
You might begin to notice the quiet rhythm of your breath,
Moving in and out on its own,
Like a tide that does not need your guidance.
Perhaps there are sounds around you,
Near or far,
Rising and fading naturally.
Let them come and go without needing to name them or follow them.
Everything can be exactly as it is.
Thoughts may still appear,
As they often do.
There is no need to stop them,
And no need to hold on to them.
Let them drift through,
Like clouds crossing an open sky,
Changing shape and dissolving on their own.
You don't need to chase them or clear them away,
Just let them pass.
If you notice yourself doing something,
Thinking,
Adjusting,
Wondering if you're doing this right,
That's okay.
Nothing has gone wrong.
Gently remember that even here,
You are allowed to do nothing.
You can rest,
Even from the effort of trying to meditate.
Let the breath breathe itself.
Let the body be held by the ground beneath you.
Let the moment unfold without your help.
There is a quiet kind of ease in allowing things to be just as they are,
Without stepping in to change them.
And in this space,
There is nothing required of you,
Nothing to achieve.
Just this simple experience of being here.
As this time comes to an end,
There is nothing you need to take with you,
Just a soft knowing that this space is always available,
A place where you can return again and again,
To rest in doing nothing.
