When you are ready to let go,

But it still hurts.

There comes a point when holding on hurts more than the idea of letting go.

And yet,

Even when you know it's time,

Even when you hear whispers,

You are ready.

And yet,

It still hurts.

Not because you are wrong,

But because you cared.

Because you gave it meaning.

Because it once mattered so much.

That letting it go feels like letting go of a part of yourself.

So if your fingers are trembling,

If your breath is catching,

If your heart aches as you loosen your grip,

That's not weakness.

That's reverence.

It means you lived,

It means you loved,

It means you were all in.

And now,

With the tenderness of someone who honors that what was,

You are choosing to move forward,

Not to forget,

Not to erase,

But to free yourself from the weight of a story that no longer holds you.

Letting go doesn't mean you are over it.

It means you are choosing peace over the illusions of control.

So take your time,

Let it be slow,

Let it be soft,

Let it be sacred.

There is no right way to say goodbye.

Only the quiet courage of doing it anyway.

And as you release,

Don't forget to breathe.
