Now,
Let your breathing return to its normal pattern again.
Your body is nice and heavy against the soft mattress,
Your blanket surrounds you with warmth and safety.
Any worries that have been eating away at you during the day cannot reach you here.

At the crown of your head,
There is a golden light,
It's always there if you're looking for it.
Wherever it reaches,
Warmth will spread,
And any tension you have will just melt away.

It flows down your head.
Warmth spreads to your forehead and washes away any tension there is.
Your eyebrows relax,
The muscles around your eyes sense the warmth and relax as well.
The warm light flows down your cheeks,

It spreads down the back of your head,
All the way down to your ears and neck.
The warmth leaves behind a slight tingling sensation.
It continues to flow to your shoulders.
Any tension present there just melts away,
Making you sink even deeper into your mattress.
Your arms get heavier as the light touches them.
Slowly it flows further and further,
Leaving behind a trail of warmth.
It spreads throughout all your fingers,
Remissing any pain or tension that may be present there.
The light flows down your back and releases any pain there is.
It flows down your chest and across your stomach,
Your muscles relax further and further.
It runs down your thighs and your calves until it eventually reaches your feet and spreads into every single toe.
The light surrounds you,
Everything in your body has fully let go.
You are surrounded by comforting warmth.
The light has brought you to staircase.
As you step down the staircase,
Counting down each step you take,
You will fall even deeper into relaxation.
At the bottom of the staircase is the deepest sleep you could possibly imagine.
Deep,
Restful sleep.
You step towards the edge of the staircase and take the first step down.
