Namaste.
Begin in a nice,
Comfortable sitting position of your choice.
Hands are resting on the knees or thighs,
With the palms facing up.
Tip of the index finger and your thumb touching each other.
Once you are physically comfortable,
Take a deep breath in and while exhaling gently close your eyes.
Now,
Become aware of your body from within,
Ensuring that the spine is upright.
The head and neck are aligned to the spine.
Shoulders are pushed slightly back and relaxed.
Move your awareness through each part of the body,
Just to ensure there is no tightness or tension in any body part.
Your whole body is comfortable and at ease.
If you find there is some tension in any body part,
Just gently adjust your posture and try to release that tension,
So that you are physically at ease.
For the duration of this practice,
Try to minimize all physical movements.
Say to yourself mentally,
I am going to practice Chakra Shuddhi.
As you are moving the awareness through the body,
Feel the body posture becoming steady and still.
The body is motionless and still.
Complete awareness of the steadiness and stillness of the whole body.
From head to toe,
The whole body is completely still and relaxed.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Feel your body instantly becoming immobile,
Steady,
Motionless and firm like a mountain.
Now,
Focus your attention at the opening of your nostrils.
Witness the natural flow of breath in and out through the nostrils.
With unbroken awareness,
Let the breath and aum become one,
Quieting the mind.
Refining the breath,
Allow the triangular breath to become slow,
Subtle and silent.
Focus on the feeling of the mantra vibration at the eyebrow center,
As if it were the medium of expression for the sound.
This triangular breathing has now settled the mind and established the internal stability needed for Chakra Shuddhi,
The purification and balancing of your energy centers.
Now,
Let go of the chanting.
Let go of the awareness of the breath.
Mentally repeat your resolve.
I am going to practice Integrated Chakra Shuddhi.
At each chakra center,
You will mentally chant the mantra Aum 11 times.
As you chant,
You must simultaneously feel the vibration of the sound striking the chakra center from within,
Like the steady beating of a small drum or the rhythmic ticking of a clock.
If you do not feel a physical pulse yet,
Simply imagine the vibration of Aum striking that exact location 11 times.
Just try to keep the whole awareness of mental chanting and felt vibration as we move through the spinal axis.
Bring your total awareness to the perineum or cervix.
Visualize the four-petaled deep red lotus.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration striking the root from within with each chant.
Now,
Let go of the counting and the mental mantra.
Let go of the chanting.
Move to the coccyx,
The tailbone.
Visualize the six-petaled vermilion or orange-red lotus.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration with each chant.
Now,
Let go of the counting and the mental mantra.
Let go of the chanting.
Move up the spine to the point directly behind the navel.
The belly button.
Visualize the ten-petaled bright yellow lotus.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration building heat and energy at the center with each chant.
Now,
Let go of the counting and the mental mantra.
Let go of the chanting.
Moving,
Move to the spine behind the center of the chest.
Visualize the 12-petaled blue lotus.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration with each chant.
Now,
Let go of the counting and the mental mantra.
Let go of the chanting.
Move to the spine behind the throat pit.
Visualize the 16-petaled violet lotus.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration wash through and purify the center with each chant.
Now,
Let go of the counting and the mental mantra.
Let go of the chanting.
Move to the top of the spine in the exact center of the head.
Visualize the 2-petaled silver gray lotus.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration echoing throughout the midbrain with each chant.
Now,
Let go of the counting and the mental mantra.
Let go of the chanting.
Move to the top back of the head.
Visualize a tiny point of white light.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration with each chant.
Now,
Let go of the counting and the mental mantra.
Let go of the chanting.
Finally,
Move to the crown of the head.
Visualize the 1,
000-petaled lotus.
Keeping the awareness on the chakra,
Mentally repeat Aum 11 times.
Feeling the vibration and energy culminating here at the very top of your being with each chant.
Now,
Relax all the efforts.
Leave all the efforts behind.
Let the mantra go.
Let the count go.
Let go of your awareness of the chakra.
Dissolve all images into the inner space of the head.
Remain in the absolute stillness and silence.
Be aware of the purified energy now circulating to the brain.
Experience your inner space as a vast,
Clear sky,
Free from the surges of the thought.
Gradually,
Become aware of your physical body.
Be aware of the floor beneath the body.
Breathe in deeply and chant Aum three times.
Slowly,
Move your fingers and toes.
Rub your palms together.
Place them over your eyes and when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
The practice of Chakra Shuddhi is complete.
I'll see you tomorrow.
Namaste.
