Begin in a nice,
Comfortable sitting position of your choice.
Hands are resting on the knees or thighs,
With the palms facing up.
Tip of the index finger and your thumb touching each other.
Once you are physically comfortable,
Take a deep breath in and while exhaling gently close your eyes.
Become aware of your body from within,
Ensuring that the spine is upright.
The head and neck are aligned to the spine.
Shoulders are pushed slightly back and relaxed.
Move your awareness through each part of the body,
Just to ensure there is no tightness or tension in any body part.
Your whole body is comfortable and at ease.
If you find there is some tension in any body part,
Just gently adjust your posture and try to release that tension,
So that you are physically at ease.
For the duration of this practice,
Try to minimize all physical movements.
Say to yourself mentally,
I am going to practice Chakra Shuddhi.
As you are moving the awareness through the body,
Feel the body posture becoming steady and still.
The body is motionless and still.
Complete awareness of the steadiness and stillness of the whole body.
From head to toe,
Whole body is completely still and relaxed.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Feel your body instantly becoming immobile,
Steady,
Motionless and firm like a mountain.
Now,
Focus your attention at the opening of your nostrils.
Witness the natural flow of breath in and out through the nostrils.
With unbroken awareness,
Let the breath and aum become one,
Quieting the mind.
Refining the breath,
Allow the triangular breath to become slow,
Subtle and silent.
Focus on the feeling of the mantra vibration at the eyebrow center,
As if it were the medium of expression for the sound.
This triangular breathing has now settled the mind and established the internal stability needed for Chakra Shuddhi,
The purification and balancing of your energy centers.
Now,
Let go of the chanting.
Let go of the awareness of the breath.
Bring your whole awareness to the region of Ajna Chakra.
First,
Locate the trigger point,
The Kshetram,
At the eyebrow center.
Hold your awareness here on the trigger point and try to feel for a subtle,
Rhythming pulse beat,
Some vibrations.
If you don't feel the vibration,
Imagine it there.
Now,
Move your awareness in a straight line back to the spine,
To the inside of the brain,
The point at the top of the spine.
This is the actual Ajna Chakra.
Hold your awareness here and discover the pulse beat or vibrations at this point as well.
Now,
Visualize a silver-gray,
Two-petaled lotus at the Chakra location.
See the color and the petals clearly.
While maintaining a general awareness of the pulse,
Beat at both front trigger point and back Chakra point.
Now,
Let go of the visualization of the lotus.
But keep your awareness deep within the Chakra,
Not trying to do anything,
Just simply being with the Chakra.
Now,
Let go of your awareness of the Chakra.
Dissolve all images into the inner space of the head.
Relax all effort and become one with the inner space.
If any thought arise,
Let it rise,
Not interfering,
Just witnessing it,
Allowing the thought to dissolve into the space,
The vast,
Clear void.
For these few moments,
Experience yourself as this space and just be,
Allowing the energy that we have awakened to harmonize within.
Gradually,
Become aware of your natural,
Spontaneous breath.
Feel the slow,
Steady rhythm of the air moving in and out of the body.
Acknowledge the space where you are seated right now,
The time of the day.
Feel the physical body seated on the floor.
Become aware of the weight of your body and the pressure against the floor.
Listen to any sound in the environment around you,
Being aware of the sounds which are near and the sounds which are coming from the far.
Now,
Take a deep breath in.
We will chant the mantra OM three times together to conclude the practice.
Gently move your fingers,
Move your toes and turn your head slowly from side to side.
Bring your palms together and rub them vigorously,
Generate some warmth.
Place your warm palms over the closed eyes,
Feeling the warmth soaking into the optic nerves.
Slowly open your eyes and gently release your posture.
The practice of Chakra Shuddhi is complete.
I'll see you tomorrow.
Namaste.
