Hi,
This is Kenny.
Welcome to this focus breathing meditation created to help you tap into your inner peace.
It's easy to feel overwhelmed when there's so much noise and chaos in the world.
It's easy to forget that we have the power to find inner peace within ourselves in the midst of all of the chaos.
In order to show up as our best selves,
To help and contribute in a positive way to society,
It's important to first tap inward and find our center.
So let's begin by getting comfortable.
You might be seated in a chair,
Sitting on the ground with support or lying down.
Whatever feels most nourishing for you right now.
Now let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and a gentle breath out through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
One more breath,
Just like that.
And as you exhale,
Gently allow your eyelids to close if that feels safe and comfortable for you.
Now bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice its natural rhythm.
The cooler temperature as you inhale and the warmer temperature as you exhale.
Where in your body do you feel your breath?
Is it the rising and falling of your chest or perhaps the way your belly expands or contracts?
Just notice that sensation as you inhale and as you exhale.
On your next inhale,
Without holding your breath,
Just notice the space at the top of your in-breath,
The precipice before your exhale.
As you breathe in,
Focus on the expansive energy of your body.
Notice that gap at the top of your breath and as you exhale,
Allow your body to settle.
As you exhale,
Notice that gap at the bottom of your out-breath right before you breathe back in.
Subtly bringing your attention to that split moment of stillness between the inhale and exhale and back again.
This space is always here.
Always able to be accessed simply by focusing on your breath.
Continue to breathe just like that for a few minutes,
Noticing the gap between the inhale and the gap between the exhale.
I will ring a chime when it's time to come back.
You can stop focusing on your breath and sit in the stillness and silence within.
Now take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Side out.
Take another breath just like that.
When you're ready,
You may gently open your eyes.
Remember that your breath is always here to serve as an anchor to your inner peace.
You can always use the space between your inhales and exhales as a place of refuge.
Of groundedness and of balance.
I hope to see you again soon.
Namaste
