Hi there,
Kendra Tolbert here.
I'm a registered dietitian and yoga teacher,
And I specialize in women's health and fertility.
And today I have a two-week wait meditation for you.
It's not uncommon during the two-week wait to experience a lot of anxious thoughts and rumination.
So I hope that this meditation provides you with an opportunity to take a step away from those thoughts and to come into your body by bringing your attention to the different sensations that you experience in your body.
I hope that this meditation provides you with an opportunity to nurture yourself,
To nourish yourself,
And to befriend yourself.
When you're ready,
Come into a comfortable position that might be seated,
That might be lying down,
Or that might be in legs up the wall.
It's completely up to you.
Choose what would best serve you today.
Once you're comfortable,
I invite you to close your eyes,
But there's no pressure to do so.
When you're ready,
Bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the rise and fall of your lower abdomen as you breathe in deeply and exhale fully.
Allow your awareness to trail down to the soles of your feet.
Notice each place where the soles of your feet come in contact with the surface beneath them.
Envision warmth and light emanating from the spot beneath the soles of your feet.
Allow both the warmth and the light to move up your legs to your pelvis.
See the light and feel the warmth expand.
Filling your pelvis with warmth and light.
Allow the warmth and light to trail up to your heart.
See the light and feel the warmth.
Feel more and more of your body.
Allow both to move up to the spot between your eyebrows.
Then up to the crown of your head.
Feel your entire body filled with warmth.
See your entire body filled with light.
Once again,
Bring your attention to your breath.
Noticing the gentle rise and fall of your lower abdomen.
Bring your attention to your throat.
And if you feel comfortable doing so,
Begin to hum.
Feel the vibration at your throat.
And throughout your body.
As you hum.
Hear the sounds as you hum.
When you're ready,
Bring your attention back to your breath.
Back to the rise and fall of your lower abdomen.
And invite in a moment of silence.
Wiggle your fingers.
Wiggle your toes.
And if your eyes were closed,
Flutter them open.
Take a moment.
To thank yourself for taking this time,
For giving yourself this time to be still,
To check in with your body,
To nurture yourself.
And I thank you for allowing me to guide you in this meditation.
Be well,
And bye for now.
