Gently close your eyes,
Let your spine lengthen,
Your shoulders soften,
And begin to deepen your breath,
Inhaling through your nose,
And exhaling gently through your mouth,
And letting each breath become a thread,
Drawing you inward,
Towards the temple within.
Now imagine you're standing inside an ancient Egyptian temple.
Massive stone walls rise up around you,
The air is still,
The light is soft.
This is not a rune,
It's alive with sound,
Geometry,
And memory.
And as you stand in the center of this sacred space,
Feel the resonance of the stone.
It hums with a deep,
Steady tone,
Like the Earth's own heartbeat.
This tone is vibrating,
Not only through the walls,
But through you.
Look at your feet,
And try to really ground yourself in this space.
Touch the stone wall,
Feel the temperature,
Now take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let out a soft ahhh sound,
And feel it ripple through your entire chest.
So let's do that together.
Breathe in again,
Let the sound rise from your heart,
Not your throat.
Now place one hand gently on your sternum,
And the other on your lower belly,
And with your next breath,
Tone the sound,
Letting it vibrate low,
Like the bass of a drum.
Feel it in your belly,
Feel your belly respond,
And feel the space between your hands awaken.
These vowel sounds are ancient,
They were used to align energy fields,
To clear spirits,
And to attune the inner temple.
Now take a few moments to experiment with your voice.
Try a soft ahhh,
A grounded ohhh,
Let the sound emerge naturally,
Not from effort,
But from curiosity,
Noticing where each sound lands in your body.
You are not performing,
You are remembering,
You are tuning the instrument of your body,
Just as the ancients once did inside this great temple.
Now for another few moments,
Ahhh,
Now slowly returning to stillness,
Let your breath become quiet again.
Bring your awareness back to the center of your chest,
Feel the echo of sound within you.
This body is your temple,
This voice is your instrument,
This breath is your ceremony.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
And coming back to journal.
