Circle of Tenan Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative guided meditation rooted in connection with nature and the self. Inspired by the symbolism of the eagle, bear, snake, and sun, it invites you to journey through the four directions of the sacred circle, balancing body, mind, heart, and spirit. This practice blends deep relaxation with mindful awareness, helping you release tension and awaken inner harmony.

Welcome.

You are about to enter a sacred yoga nidra journey,

A deep rest meditation inspired by the circle cross of Thien An.

All you need to do is lie down,

Listen and allow your body and spirit to soften into stillness.

We begin now.

Lie down comfortably,

Arms loose by your sides,

Legs falling open.

Let your whole body soften into stillness.

Close your eyes and begin to notice the rhythm of your breath.

There's nothing to change,

Just feel the rise and fall.

With each exhale release a little more effort.

Soften your jaw,

Let your shoulders drop.

Feel your back melt into the surface beneath you.

You are safe,

You are held.

The earth is beneath you,

The sky above you.

You are entering a sacred space,

A meeting place of heaven and earth.

Now allow a sankalpa,

A soul intention,

To gently arise.

Something true,

Something empowering.

Perhaps I trust in divine timing,

Or I am a sacred bridge between heaven and earth.

Let your intention rise from the heart,

Not the mind.

When it comes,

Repeat it inwardly three times.

Now we'll do a body scan,

A rotation of consciousness.

Bring your attention to the right hand thumb,

Second finger,

Third,

Fourth,

Little finger,

Palm of the hand,

Back of the hand,

Wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

Shoulder,

Armpit,

Waist,

Hip,

Thigh,

Knee,

Shin,

Ankle,

Heel,

Sole,

Top of the foot,

Toes.

Now the left side.

Fingers,

Arm,

Leg,

Back of the body,

Front of the body.

Attention to the sole of the foot,

Top of the foot,

The toes,

The whole body resting,

Glowing with awareness.

Returning to your breath.

Inhale receiving life,

Exhale returning to the world.

Inhale grace,

Exhale presence.

You stand at the centre of a radiant circle cross.

East,

I invite the power of grace.

South,

I invite the power of divine will.

West,

I invite the power of healing.

North,

I invite the power of presence.

You are the living circle cross,

Light flowing through you.

In your mind's eye you visualise walking along a moonlit path.

A hawk flies overhead and a white pyramid rises before you.

Pyramid of the moon.

At the base a circle cross glows in the earth.

A priestess appears,

She is robed in starlight.

She draws the circle cross in the air.

Grace,

Will,

Healing,

Presence.

She touches your heart.

You remember who you are.

She offers you a gift,

A symbol,

A word,

A light.

Receive it.

She fades into starlight.

You lay down at the base of the pyramid.

You are light,

You are aligned.

As you begin to return,

You feel your body,

Your feet,

Your hands.

Inhale,

Receiving life.

Exhale,

Returning to the world.

Inhale,

Grace.

Exhale,

Presence.

Repeat your sankalpa three times.

Gently move your fingers and toes.

Roll slowly to one side.

Then rise slowly to sit.

Bow inward and acknowledge the light of the circle cross within.

As we prepare to close,

Noticing the cross glows within you,

You carry this light into the world,

Steady,

Sacred and awake.

When you feel ready,

Gently open your eyes and return to your day.

May grace walk with you.
