Welcome to this Meet Your Spirit Guide meditation.
To begin,
Whether you're sitting or lying,
Take a moment to get comfortable.
Ensure your body is supported,
Especially your back.
And once it feels safe for you,
Soften your gaze or allow the eyes to close.
When you're ready.
Take a slow breath in.
And a long breath out.
Again,
Breathing in and exhaling gently.
Bring your awareness to the points of contact where your body meets the chair or the bed or the floor.
If you need,
Make any adjustments.
You want to get as comfortable as you can.
And when you're cozy,
Just sink in,
Soften and relax.
Feel how your breath moves through your body.
There's no need to change anything here.
You're just going to observe the cool air of the inhale.
Where it moves in your body.
And on the exhale of the warmer air.
And the softening it leaves behind.
Breathe at your own rhythm gently.
Softly.
And now imagine roots extending from the base of your spine and the soles of your feet,
Traveling deep down into the arms of Mother Earth.
With every inhale,
Visualize the release of tension,
Emotion,
And all the things you no longer need to carry.
Visualize them exiting through your roots and the earth safely pulling the energy down before transmuting it into white light.
And now above your crown,
Picture a soft light forming.
This light blooms,
Spreads out,
Expanding to lower itself around you,
Wrapping you in a cocoon of soothing light.
Only what is for your highest good is welcome here.
And inside this light you are protected,
Nurtured and supported.
Take another cleansing inhale.
And on the release,
Allow yourself to soften even further.
Now picture a shimmering light appearing in the air before you.
You might like to notice its colour.
Perhaps it's oval,
Maybe it's square like a door,
Or it's perfectly round.
The light is warm and inviting,
Encouraging you to step through.
And in your mind's eye,
You take that step.
And move through.
You emerge into a beautiful setting.
It might be a beach,
A garden,
A forest.
Take a moment now to build your surroundings using all your senses.
The air,
The warmth of the sun.
How the light moves through the trees.
Maybe the touch of warm sand beneath your feet.
Spend a few moments in this space.
Breathe in.
Soften.
And know you're wholly protected and safe here.
And as you start to walk,
You notice that further ahead There's a beautiful wooden bench waiting for you.
You walk towards it.
Take a seat.
There's a sudden sense of expectation in the air and knowing that something is coming in for you.
Something you've been waiting for a long time.
So take a slow steady breath in and a long breath out.
Feel the bench beneath you,
The steadiness of the earth below your feet.
Rhythm of the landscape around you.
And when you're ready,
Invite your spirit guide to step forward.
As you become aware of this presence beside you,
Allow yourself to remember that your spirit guide doesn't need to appear as a person.
They may come as a feeling,
A warmth,
A calm.
They may appear as a color in your mind's eye,
Maybe a shimmer of light,
A shape,
A shadow,
A symbol.
They may even come as a scent on the breeze,
The taste of something familiar.
A sound or a vibration in the body.
It may even come as a simple knowing that you're not alone.
There's no right way to receive your spirit guide.
There's only your way.
For a few breaths.
Sit together.
There's no pressure to see,
To hear,
To get something right.
Just notice what you notice.
When you feel ready,
You can offer a quiet inward greeting,
A simple hello,
A soft welcome,
A thank you for coming.
If it feels supportive for your mind and heart to create a point of connection,
You may ask for a name.
Not because your guide must have one,
But because names can help us form relationships.
So gently,
In your own words,
Ask,
What may I call you?
And then allow the answer to arrive in whatever way it arrives.
You may receive nothing at all and that's completely okay.
If nothing comes,
You can choose your own name.
And know that you can let it change over time.
Connection matters more than the label.
Now bring awareness to your heart space.
Feel your breath moving in and out like the flow of a tide.
And when you're ready,
Begin a gentle conversation.
First,
Ask your guide.
What are you here to support me with?
And then soften,
Listen,
And notice what comes through.
If your mind starts to analyze,
That's okay.
Just return to receiving and breath.
When you're ready,
You can next ask,
What inner strength should I lean into?
With this,
You may be shown a quality you already carry.
You may be reminded of something you've survived,
Or feel an energy awaken in your body.
Now for your next question,
You may ask,
What is the time for me to release?
What you can release here is perhaps a belief,
A fear,
A habit of self-doubt.
Sometimes it's a role you've outgrown.
Sometimes it's the need to do everything alone.
Allow your guide to show you with compassion and try not to second guess whatever comes through.
Take a moment now to thank your guide for all that they've shared with you so far.
Then let them know what you need next,
Because Spirit Guides support us very deeply,
But we must ask.
So you might say,
I am open to your help.
Please guide me in ways I can recognize and receive.
If it feels good,
You can also ask for signs and synchronicities in the days ahead.
Choose signs that fit your life and your loves and your language.
So you might ask for a particular animal,
Feather or symbol if you're a nature lover.
If you love music,
You might like a repeated phrase or lyrics.
It could be a specific colour appearing in unexpected places.
Repeating numbers that you'd see on a clock,
A watch,
Phone or car registration.
Or maybe a meaningful word that keeps showing up for you.
You can even ask for a sign that you feel,
So a wave of calm,
Warmth in the heart,
Or just a grounded certainty in knowing that you have somebody with you.
If you'd like to really strengthen this connection,
You can also ask your guide how they prefer to communicate with you.
So quietly ask,
What is your easiest way to reach me?
And notice what comes.
Now for a few breaths,
Just sit with your guide for the next short while.
Let yourself feel supported and held.
And if you like,
You can imagine your guide placing something in your hands,
Offering you a small symbol of connection,
Something you can remember later.
And when you're ready,
You can let them know you'll return to this connection again.
And you can say,
Thank you.
I will listen.
I will ask.
And I will notice.
And now it's time for you to leave this beautiful place.
Although your spirit guides will remain,
They are always present with you.
They may have a final message before you go.
Hang them once you're ready.
Start to make your way back through your surroundings.
To where the shimmering light is waiting for you.
As you walk,
Notice how you feel.
Is there a sense of lightness,
A sense of renewed hope,
Of connection?
You might like to set an intention now that you'll make the point of connecting with your spirit guide once a day or once a week,
Whatever feels good for you at this time.
When you reach the shimmering light.
Again,
You feel that sense of warmth and safety.
And you step through.
Returning to the room you're in.
Very gently return to the connection of your body.
Where it's supported.
Where you can feel its weight.
Take a gentle breath in Slow breath out.
And gently move your fingers and toes.
And whenever you're ready,
You can flutter your eyes open and return to the room.
If you enjoy this connection with your spirit guide,
Know that you can meet them anytime you wish.
You might like to journal your experience.
Take a note of any questions that were answered or questions you might like to bring to your next meeting.
Thank you for joining me.
