This meditation is an invitation to put down the striving and come home to your body.
Drawing on the yogic principle of a parigraha,
Non-grasping.
And the Ayurvedic wisdom of calming bhatta.
Through felt safety.
And this practice guides you into the parasympathetic state.
Where true creation becomes possible.
You'll be gently guided to feel the safety of knowing,
Knowing your desires are already on their way.
And to rest in that truth,
Not as a concept but as a felt experience in your body.
So come as you are and leave lighter.
Find a comfortable position.
Seated,
Or lying down.
Let your hands rest open,
Palms facing up.
In the gesture of receiving.
Take us slow.
Breath in through your nose.
And a long,
Easy exhale out through your mouth.
Let that be a signal to your body.
We're not in a hurry right now.
Again,
Inhaling through your nose.
And exhale.
Softening.
Notice where you are right now.
Not where you're trying to get.
Not what you haven't yet created.
Right here.
This room.
This breath.
This moment.
I want to offer to you a gentle truth.
That will support you.
There is something you want.
Maybe it's been on your heart for a while.
A dream for your work.
For your relationships,
For your health.
For your life.
You can feel it.
That quiet ache of not yet.
And that ache,
As natural as it is,
Can quietly shift your nervous system into survival mode,
Into urgency,
Into grasping.
And from that place,
It's very hard to receive anything.
So today,
We're going to practice something different.
We're going to practice trusting the kitchen.
Ciao.
Bring your awareness to your heart center.
You may place a hand there if you'd like.
Breathe in through your nose.
And imagine the breath entering right through your heart.
And breathe out slowly.
The breath releasing from the same place.
Now,
Bring to mind the thing you desire.
Don't analyze it.
Don't figure out how it will come.
Just let the image or the feeling of it arise gently,
Like a candle flame.
And now.
I want you to imagine this.
The order has been placed.
Not by you pushing and striving and figuring out every step.
But by you simply and sincerely asking.
Wanting.
Intending.
The kitchen has received your order.
The universe,
Life,
God,
Whatever word holds truth for you,
Has heard you.
And the preparation is already underway.
Feel what happens in your body.
When you consider that possibility.
What if it's already on its way?
Notice if there's anything softening.
Any releasing.
Perhaps in your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your belly.
In the yoga tradition.
We call this a parigraha.
Non-grasping not the absence of desire.
But the release of the grip around it.
Holding what we want.
And the way you'd hold perhaps a bird.
Present enough to feel it.
Open enough not to crush it.
In Ayurveda.
That anxious grasping is often excessive vata energy.
The energy of air and movement,
Spinning,
Urgent,
Untethered.
And the medicine for vata is always the same.
Earth,
Warmth,
Presence,
Safety.
So let's bring some of that medicine in now.
Feel the weight of your body.
Wherever it is supported.
The floor beneath you,
The chair,
The ground.
Let yourself be held.
Breathe in the warmth.
Breathe out the urgency.
Breathe in trust.
Breathe out the need to know how.
Breathe in safety.
Breathe out the timeline.
From this place.
Regulated,
Grounded,
Present.
Begin to imagine yourself as someone who already knows it's coming.
Not someone chasing.
Someone receiving.
How does that person sit?
How did they breathe?
What do they notice?
There's nothing urgent.
Nothing to force.
The work you're meant to do will come to you.
As inspired action.
Not anxious effort.
The people.
The resources,
The timing.
They'll arrive when you stop blocking the path with urgency.
Presence is where it all lives.
Right here.
Right now.
Save.
With your breath.
So take one more deep breath in.
And as you exhale.
Let your body know.
I trust this.
The order is placed.
I can rest now.
Slowly begin to deepen your breath.
Wiggle your fingers your toes.
Let awareness return to the room around you.
And when you're ready.
Gently open your eyes.
Remember.
You don't manifest what you want.
You manifest who you are.
And today.
You practice being someone who receives.
Carry this with you.
