The Feeling Blah meditation is designed to help you navigate through moments of emotional fog, lack of motivation, or disconnection. Instead of resisting or trying to force the feeling away, this meditation invites you to meet it with compassion and curiosity. Through gentle breathwork, mindful exploration, and self-acceptance, you’ll learn to understand and release this "blah" feeling, allowing it to pass in its own time. This meditation serves as a reminder that these moments are temporary and part of the natural ebb and flow of life. Also, check out the accompanying Feeling Blah Affirmations track.

Hello.

Welcome to John or Jee Healing.

The blah feeling is something that everyone encounters at some point.

It can show up as a lack of motivation,

A sense of emotional numbness,

Or a feeling of being stuck in life.

Sometimes it's subtle,

Like a quiet sense of unease,

And other times it can feel all-encompassing,

Leaving us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the world around us.

This meditation is designed to explore the root of this blah feeling,

To acknowledge it with compassion,

And to gently guide it towards healing and transformation.

The causes of this feeling are varied.

It may stem from emotional exhaustion,

Unprocessed grief,

Stress,

Or even an unconscious resistance to something we need to face.

It may also be the body's way of signaling the need for rest,

A reminder to slow down in a world that pushes us to constantly be doing more.

Instead of fighting this feeling or trying to ignore it,

This meditation invites you to embrace it fully,

Allowing it to be what it is and trusting that it will pass when the time is right.

So,

Let's get started.

Settle into a comfortable position,

Allowing your body to be fully supported by the surface beneath you,

And close your eyes.

And let's start with some breath work.

With each breath,

Feel your body becoming more relaxed and your mind more at ease.

Take a deep breath into your head,

Into your brain.

Big exhale.

A deep breath into your chest,

Into your heart space.

Big exhale.

Deep breath into your belly.

Big exhale.

And a deep breath into your pelvis,

Into your hips.

Big exhale.

Exhale all the way down your legs,

Through the bottom of your feet,

To ground yourself into Mother Earth by using your Earth Star Chakra that sits below your feet,

About a foot,

Foot and a half.

Also,

Visualize or otherwise imagine the grounding cord from your Root Chakra,

Also going in to Mother Earth.

Turn your attention inward,

Establish the witness,

And find that space of neutrality within.

And try to stay in present moment awareness as best you can throughout the meditation.

Now relax your shoulders,

Relax your neck,

Relax your jaw,

Relax your face muscles,

And relax your head.

Now,

Bring your awareness to the present moment.

Notice the rhythm of your breath,

How it flows naturally in and out of your body.

There's no need to control it,

Just observe.

As you do,

Gently scan your body from the top of your head.

From the top of your head,

Down to your toes.

Noticing if there are any areas of discomfort,

Numbness,

Or tension.

When you encounter these sensations,

Simply breathe into them without trying to change them.

Acknowledge their presence with kindness.

This practice is about accepting where you are right now,

Exactly as you are,

Without judgment.

As you continue to breathe and relax,

Invite your mind to settle on the blah feeling that brought you to this meditation.

It might feel unclear or vague,

And that's okay.

Bring it to the forefront of your awareness.

Bring it to the forefront of your awareness,

And ask yourself,

What does this feeling actually feel like?

Is it a heaviness in your chest?

A dullness in your mind?

Or perhaps it feels like a fog or a weight over your entire body.

Whatever it is,

Give it permission to exist without needing to define it completely.

Now,

Ask yourself gently,

Where might this feeling be coming from?

It could be emotional exhaustion,

A lack of inspiration,

Or perhaps there is something unresolved in your life that has caused this feeling to settle in.

Maybe it's a signal from your body that you've been pushing too hard and need a moment of rest.

As you breathe,

Observe what comes up with a moment of rest.

As you breathe,

Observe what comes up without needing to analyze it.

If your mind starts wandering to stories or judgments,

Gently bring it back to the sensation of the feeling itself.

Notice that this blah feeling,

Like all emotions,

Is temporary.

It has come,

But it will also go.

Now that you've explored the origins of this feeling,

It's time to send it some compassion.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Visualize or otherwise imagine yourself wrapping this feeling in warmth and care.

Imagine yourself holding this emotion as you would comfort a friend who is struggling.

Say to yourself,

Silently or aloud,

It's okay to feel this way.

Acknowledge that this feeling is part of being human,

And you are not alone in experiencing it.

And you are not alone in experiencing it.

In fact,

Many people around the world feel the same at this very moment.

Take a moment to reflect on how common this sensation is.

In our fast-paced world,

It is not unusual to feel overwhelmed,

Disconnected,

Or emotionally drained.

We are often told to push through these feelings,

To be constantly productive,

And to suppress anything that doesn't feel positive.

But by recognizing the need for emotional rest,

You are practicing radical self-care.

On the next breath,

Ask yourself,

What do I need right now?

Do you need rest?

Do you need emotional support?

Do you need to reconnect with something that brings you joy?

Listen carefully to what arises,

Trusting that your inner wisdom knows what is best for you trusting that your inner wisdom knows what is best for you in this moment.

Now,

Let's begin to gently transform this blah feeling.

Imagine that with each inhale,

You are breathing in fresh,

Vibrant energy.

A light that fills you from the inside out.

This light is soothing,

Calming,

And full of healing potential.

With each exhale,

Imagine releasing any heaviness,

Tension,

And any energy that no longer serves you.

Picture the blah feeling slowly dissolving,

Not because you are forcing it away,

But because you are meeting it with love and acceptance.

You might imagine it as a cloud that's been hovering over you,

And with each breath,

The cloud begins to thin out,

Allowing the warmth of the sun to peek through.

Feel your body becoming lighter,

Your mind clearer,

And as you release the need to hold on to this feeling.

Trust that by acknowledging it and allowing it to be,

You are helping it move through you.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Take a moment to notice how you feel now.

Perhaps the blah feeling has lightened,

Or maybe it's still present,

But with a little more clarity and understanding.

Know that wherever you are right now is perfectly okay.

Take three slow,

Deep breaths,

Inhaling peace,

And exhaling any remaining tension.

As you breathe,

Silently repeat to yourself,

I honor where I am,

And I trust in my process.

When you are ready,

Gently begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Slowly bringing your attention to the center of your body.

Bring your awareness back to the room around you.

Open your eyes,

And take a moment to ground yourself in the present.

Remember that the blah feeling,

While uncomfortable,

Is often a messenger guiding you toward what you need most,

Whether that's rest,

Emotional release,

Or reconnection with yourself.

By choosing to sit with it in meditation,

You are practicing profound self-compassion,

Which is a vital step in any healing journey.

If you feel called to further explore this blah feeling,

Especially if it persists,

Please give a listening,

Listen to the accompanying feeling,

Blah affirmations.

Take this gentle awareness with you as you move throughout your day,

And trust that with time,

You will find your way back to clarity,

Joy,

And a renewed sense of purpose.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

I truly hope you have a great rest of your day.

Namaste
