My name is Jenny and this is the Bite Size Breath Series.

Short,

Simple breath work for you to do anywhere,

Anytime.

Today's practice will be Nadi Shadana,

Alternate nostril breathing.

We'll focus on slowing the breath,

We'll focus on balance,

And we'll focus on a sense of calm.

Take your second and your third finger of the right hand,

Place it in between your eyebrows.

Focus your gaze in between the brows.

Close your eyes.

Cover the right nostril with your thumb,

Breathing through the left nostril.

Cover the left nostril with your fourth finger,

Breathe out through the right.

Breathe in through the right.

Cover,

Out through the left.

In through the left.

Cover the left nostril,

Out through the right.

And keep going with this,

Inhaling through one nostril,

Covering out through the other.

In through same nostril,

Covering out through the other.

See how slow you can go whilst keeping the body relaxed.

Maybe even adding a gentle pause at the top and the bottom of your breath if you want to play.

Going if you can,

Take the rests when you need.

This practice is believed to balance out right,

Left side of the body,

Sun,

Moon side of the body and brain.

So as we work on creating this balance,

Can you tune into the balance in your body.

Can you tune in to the balance of your mind.

After your next exhale,

Just let the hands come to the knees.

Take a couple of easy,

Gentle breaths.

Perhaps observing if there's anything that you want to do to bring a little more balance into your day.

Take a full breath in.

And let it go.

Thank you so much for joining.

I finally the alternate nostril breathing to be very balancing and clarifying. I always love to start my meditation practice this way. This is a sweet introduction to it.
