Hello,
Welcome to this short,
Guided,
Lymphatic flow meditation for the arm.
This recording is provided for general relaxation and self-care only.
It is not medical advice.
If you have an active infection,
Blood clot,
Uncontrolled heart condition,
Recent surgery,
Open wounds,
Or are unsure whether flow is appropriate for you,
Please consult your health care provider before trying this.
Stop immediately if you feel pain,
Dizziness,
Shortness of breath,
Or sudden swelling.
Alright,
Let's begin.
Sit comfortably,
With your body supported.
Make sure your surroundings are clear.
It's very important to keep distractions away during this time.
Focus all your attention on your body.
You will be touching your body with your hands.
Keep your touch very light.
Imagine moving only the skin,
Like you are petting a very soft,
Fuzzy blanket.
We will focus first on abdominal breathing,
Then the armpit,
And then the arm drainage,
For a brief,
Calming practice.
Alright,
Settle down into your comfortable position.
Close your eyes if safe.
Relax your shoulders,
And begin to tune inward into your breathing.
Begin to feel the world beneath us.
Inhale slowly through the nose,
Your belly rising,
And exhale slowly through the mouth.
Now place both hands on your abdomen or stomach,
Just below your belly button.
Beautiful work.
Trust yourself and the ground around you.
Feel your lower body sink further into the earth.
Feel the grounding around you.
Let anything go that doesn't serve you.
Imagine strings pulling it out of you from beneath you.
At the same time,
You will open up the top of your head to the universe.
Imagine a bright column of white light extending up into the galaxies.
This is your affirmation and grounding,
And bringing in wonderful,
Healing light into your body.
We will go through the breathing sequence next.
Keeping this grounding safe,
You'll breathe in,
And let it go.
Breathe out,
And let the light in.
Let's begin with breath number one.
Inhale slowly through the nose,
Belly and hands rising.
Exhale slowly through the mouth.
Breath two.
Inhale through the nose,
Belly and hands rising.
Exhale.
Breath three.
Inhale,
And exhale.
Breath four.
Inhale,
And exhale.
Last one.
Breathe in,
And breathe out.
Imagine these circular energies flowing through your whole body.
The rise and fall of the tides.
The gentle sway of a calming breeze.
Try and hold this feeling.
It is perfectly normal to have flooding thoughts during this time.
Acknowledge the thoughts,
And move them along.
You can toss them back out into the universe,
Or pass them along in a river,
And slowly watch them travel out of sight.
Bring your awareness back to the light and the breathing.
We will now begin with one arm.
Whichever side you choose,
Right or left,
Place a flat hand from your opposite hand on that arm.
Place the flat hand on your chest,
Either under the clavicle or just over it a little bit.
Using flat fingers and a flat hand,
You'll sweep and push and gently pull the skin from the upper chest outward and down into the armpit.
Imagine scooping light from your heart to your armpit with each stroke.
Practice this a few times,
Very slowly.
Flat hand,
You push,
You relax,
You start again,
You push,
You relax.
Let's begin the sequence.
That hand stays on the chest,
And you're sweeping toward your armpit.
Sweep,
Breathe.
Sweep,
Breathe.
Sweep,
Breathe.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Excellent work.
You will now move that hand to the top of the shoulder.
Your opposite hand should be on top of the opposite shoulder.
Pull that hand and gently tug on the skin inward and down toward the armpit you have just stimulated.
You'll imagine pulling the light and imagine pulling a gentle stream of water along with you,
With your hand,
Always draining or ending near the armpit and eventually the heart.
Let's begin the shoulder.
You'll pull in,
Sweep.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Find the calming breath and pull back the light near you.
Feel the presence of a calm environment.
Next,
We'll work down the arm,
Starting on the upper arm just below the shoulder.
Place your hand here and move it up toward the shoulder.
With each stroke,
We are moving the light,
Moving that flowing stream of water with us,
Always in the direction of the armpit,
Never down to the ground.
Let's work on the upper arm.
Pull up and sweep.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Sweep.
Now move your hand again just down,
Right before the elbow.
This is where you might cup your hand and pump the skin up and down.
Gently pet and pull the skin with flat fingers again,
Up,
Up,
Up,
In the rhythmic flow.
Let's work this area now.
Find your calming breath.
Sweep up.
Very slow,
Very good.
We are ending this short sequence on the forearm,
Just below the elbow.
Sweep up.
Call back your light,
Call the flowing water under your fingertips.
This is where the magic happens.
Let's begin the forearm.
Sweep up.
Beautiful job.
Your skin wants to be touched.
Your skin breathes with you.
It flows constantly throughout the day.
Remember this feeling you have achieved and call it back to you anytime you wish.
Return your hands to rest comfortably on your abdomen or stomach,
Just below the belly button.
We will take four calming belly breaths.
Inhale.
Make your hands rise.
Exhale a sweeping clearing breath.
Inhale again.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Slowly bring awareness back to your surroundings.
You can wiggle your toes and your fingers.
You'll continue your day gently,
Take sips of water.
Thank you for joining me.
I hope you learn and return to find the clearing flow as often as you wish.
I'm so glad you're here.
