Hello friends,

Jo here.

Today I'd love for us to talk about a concept that you may have not heard of before.

It is called brain pruning.

You know how we all can have thoughts that don't really serve us and they go round and round in our minds.

We may or may not be aware of the dominant thoughts that we have from our day to day living.

But we have this extraordinary brain that every 90 days scans itself and as it does this scan the brain looks for where there is the most activity happening within itself.

What neural pathways are being used the most dominantly.

What kind of thoughts signals,

Feelings are you dwelling in more dominantly in your existence.

Now this is fascinating and super exciting because it just goes to show how incredibly powerful we are and how amazing our bodies are in that they regenerate and they renew and rewire.

Every month,

Every 90 days,

Every year we are literally completely brand new.

So if you believe if you carry that belief that you're too old to change or too stuck in your ways know this you are never too old.

We are forever changing.

And now science is showcasing this with more and more experiments done on brain waves and how the brain lively activates and lights up as we do these nourishing things for ourselves meditate,

Be nature,

Be conscious dwell in happy thoughts and feelings.

So brain pruning every 90 days your brain will scan itself.

And when it does this those neural pathways that are not being used the brain will literally prune them away the brain will focus and activate more so where you are putting your attention those neural pathways will become your dominant thoughts,

Your dominant experiences and feelings.

Never underestimate how powerful it is to focus even 5 minutes a day on having loving thoughts about yourself,

About your life.

I was amazed when I started doing a 21 day challenge of focusing on myself every day for 5 to 10 minutes.

What an incredible momentum it created in my overall sense of wellbeing.

I started noticing after about a week that it didn't even matter what I was trying to create or manifest outside of myself I was just waking up and going through my day deeply content and happy just because not because of anything specifically happening it's because I was filling my mind and my nervous system and my emotional system,

My brain with what makes me happy what gives me inner peace what kind of life do I want to magically experience and live in and create more and more of for the future and for the world.

And I couldn't believe that just 5 minutes of dwelling in this happy place through different practices,

Sometimes it may be a meditation sometimes you may feel more like moving and doing some somatic breath work or shaking,

Stomping going for a walk.

Other days it may be writing down or daydreaming,

Talking to a friend sharing something,

Writing in a journal whatever it may be I allowed my creative soul and spirit just to flow through me and at the same time I was strengthening those pathways in my own brain,

Body,

Nervous system So I invite you today to have a think have a little conscious moment with yourself of where are your dominant thoughts where do you place more of your attention and start creating this soft and gentle shift towards focusing on what brings you happiness,

What brings you inner calmness and joy and peace dwell in that and strengthen that in yourself and you will be amazed at how your life and your inner world and outer world starts to transform Be consistent,

What is 5 minutes a day,

It seems like it wouldn't be even possible but it's extraordinary what that momentum does to your whole DNA,

Your whole system.

We are one being one living being,

Everything is interconnected nothing is separate,

Everything in your body is listening to everything else and communicating and working as one Embrace this knowledge give yourself love give yourself this gift So many blessings
