You've probably heard it before,
Thoughts create reality.
But sometimes no matter how many affirmations you whisper in the mirror,
Or how many vision boards you make,
The dream life you're trying to manifest feels just out of reach.
So what gives?
What's really standing in the way of manifesting the life you want?
The truth is there are often invisible blocks,
Small yet powerful mistakes that sabotage your manifestation journey.
Today we're going to uncover five of those mistakes that might be keeping you from living your dream life.
These mistakes are more common than you might think,
And shifting just a few simple things can make a huge difference in your ability to manifest everything you truly desire.
Now I know you've got goals,
Maybe they're big dreams like financial abundance,
A healthy relationship,
Vibrant health,
Or even peace of mind.
Whatever they are,
We're going to explore what might be holding you back and talk about how to navigate these blocks with small shifts that can change everything.
First let's talk about something that flies under the radar for most people,
Limiting beliefs.
And I don't mean the beliefs you're fully aware of,
I'm talking about the subconscious beliefs that have been planted deep within you,
Often since childhood,
By past experiences,
Parents,
Or even society.
It's fascinating how much of our adult thinking is actually governed by these old patterns.
One of the pioneers in this field breaks down just how powerful the subconscious mind is.
He explains that much of what you feel,
Think,
And do is driven by the past.
Even when you consciously want to move forward,
Your subconscious is still running on an old script.
Maybe you grew up believing money was hard to make,
Or that success came only to certain people,
Like the lucky ones.
Or even worse,
That you're not truly deserving of abundance.
These beliefs may not surface front and centre every day,
But they linger in the background,
Influencing the results you see,
Or don't see,
In your life.
Take Joe's own story,
For example.
After a severe accident that left him immobile,
Joe used his understanding of these limiting beliefs to heal his body,
Something doctors said was physically impossible.
He realised that it wasn't just about physical healing,
It was also about retraining his mind to release the subconscious belief that his body couldn't heal.
By consistently reprogramming that old belief,
He experienced profound transformation.
The good news is that you can do this too.
You don't have to be stuck repeating the same cycles over and over again.
One simple way to start shifting those subconscious beliefs is through daily exercises like visualisation and meditation.
But not just any kind of mind work.
It's about tapping into your emotional memory and rewriting the subconscious script.
Auto-suggestion to rewire the subconscious.
This idea is all about feeding the unconscious mind positive,
Supportive thoughts repeatedly until they sink in and replace the limiting beliefs that are lodged in at a deeper level.
Most successful people didn't necessarily work harder or smarter,
They simply thought differently.
And it's this example that we can apply to our own manifestation journey.
Your conscious mind is not enough.
You need to actively work with your subconscious too.
Speaking of overthinking,
That brings us to another mistake that can really hold people back from manifesting what they want,
Getting too caught up in the how.
It's natural to want to figure it all out.
Most of us are problem solvers by nature,
So when it comes to manifesting,
We tend to focus on exactly how we'll get what we want,
Step by step.
But here's the thing.
This is where we unintentionally slow down the process.
When you're too focused on how something will come to you,
You create resistance.
You block yourself off from other ways that things could happen,
Ways that you might not even be able to imagine right now.
Manifesting isn't about micromanaging the steps,
It's about embodying the feeling that what you desire is already yours.
Think about Jim Carrey.
Early in his career,
Before he became the Jim Carrey we all know,
He wrote himself a cheque for 10 million dollars for acting services rendered,
Dated it a few years into the future.
Every day Carrey didn't obsess over how he'd land the roles to cash in that cheque,
But he felt as though it was already happening.
He aligned with the feeling of being abundant and successful,
Even during the days when he was struggling.
And as we all know,
His breakthrough came in the form of some of the biggest roles in Hollywood.
You see,
When you focus on how it's going to happen,
You lower the energy you actually need to manifest.
You might feel that trying to control the outcome will make things happen faster,
But control isn't the answer.
Energy is the answer.
It's that simple.
What you project through your emotions and vibration will always come back to you.
Shift your mindset.
Instead of trying to map out the how,
Let go of the need to control the outcome and focus on the feeling.
How does having your dream life feel?
Excitement.
Joy.
Contentment.
Focus on that emotion and live as though it's already your reality.
That's when the pieces begin to come together.
And this ties closely into another mistake.
Impatience.
It's so common to feel like you've been working on manifesting for a long time,
But nothing tangible seems to be showing up.
And so we start losing faith.
Impatience creeps in.
And before we know it,
We're already mentally preparing to give up.
But the universe doesn't work on your timeline.
It works on its own perfect,
Divine timing.
Trying to rush the process will only bring resistance into the mix.
Most people fail because they give up too soon.
The moment you get impatient,
You cut off your manifestation process.
It's like digging for gold.
But stopping just inches away from striking the motherlode.
Now,
Let's step back for a moment.
It's very natural to want things now.
In the world we live in,
Instant gratification is everywhere,
Whether it's through social media or one-click purchases.
But trust me,
Impatience will block you.
The universe works on universal time.
And just because something hasn't yet appeared on your timeline doesn't mean it's not happening.
Your work is to trust that it's on its way,
Being attached to a specific outcome.
Let's say a job offer from a particular company or a romantic relationship with one person is another form of resistance.
What if you were attached to how all of this plays out,
But the universe had someone or something better in store for you?
The more you try to control a specific result,
The more rigid your energy becomes and you're simply not allowing for serendipity.
Your real job then is to feel the essence of what you want and let go of how it has to happen,
Or even when it will happen.
Remember,
Abundance,
Love and success are all possible.
It's just about aligning with those vibrations,
Not suffocating them with impatience or attachment.
So what can you do to stay patient and trusting?
First,
Remind yourself that delays aren't denials.
If it hasn't shown up yet,
It's not because you're being punished.
This is all part of the larger process.
Try affirmations like this or something better to help release attachment.
Meditation is another powerful tool for this form of meditation where you enter a state of gratitude for things that haven't even happened yet.
By doing this,
You start to feel the joy right now,
Not when that manifestation appears.
You trust that it's coming to you in its perfect time.
It's all about staying open without trying to rush.
So now you understand how limiting beliefs,
Overthinking the how and allowing impatience to creep in can sabotage your ability to manifest.
But that's not the whole picture.
There are still a couple of other key mistakes that might be holding you back.
And once you recognise these,
You'll be in an even stronger position to shift your mindsets and behaviours so you can unlock the life you truly want.
Let's move on to the next mistake,
Which is something that surprises a lot of people.
Thinking that just visualising and feeling good is enough,
While completely ignoring the need for daily action.
Now don't get me wrong,
Visualisation and aligning your emotions with your desires are absolutely essential in manifesting.
But here's the thing,
It's not meant to be done in a vacuum.
Many people get stuck in what I like to call manifestation fantasy mode.
You've probably seen it before,
People stuck in endless loops of vision boarding,
Scripting their dream life,
Reading countless self-help books and waiting for the universe to magically deliver everything.
As powerful as those tools are,
You also have to move in the direction of what you want.
Taking aligned,
Inspired action is where the magic truly happens.
Still today,
We see people who seem to live by this principle.
Take Grant Cardone for example.
He talks a lot about how manifestation works,
But what sets him apart is his relentless work ethic.
Showing up every day,
Building momentum and aligning his action with his vision of success.
He knew that action amplifies intention.
You can't just sit around waiting for things to fall into place,
You've got to be in the game.
Even someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger knew this.
Long before he became a household name in bodybuilding and Hollywood,
He held the vision of success in his mind.
But he didn't wait for it to just appear,
He hustled,
He trained relentlessly,
Auditioned,
Studied and made the most of every opportunity.
His actions carried him forward toward the reality he was envisioning.
And the important thing to note here is this,
You don't have to know every single step of the journey,
But you do need to take the steps that are visible to you now.
Break up those big,
Overwhelming goals into small,
Tangible actions.
What can you do today,
In this very moment,
To move one step closer to what you want?
It's not about rushing or grinding yourself into exhaustion,
But you need that combination of clear intention and consistent action.
If you meditate on abundance every day,
But you're never taking small daily actions to make it happen,
Then you're stuck in a daydream,
Never tapping into your full potential.
What matters is putting yourself into motion.
Momentum builds from there.
Think of it like planting seeds.
Meditation,
Visualisation and inner work are like preparing the soil,
Making sure it's rich and ready for growth.
But planting the seeds,
Those are your daily actions.
Without them,
Nothing will grow,
No matter how fertile the soil is.
Now this brings us to the fifth mistake that people often make when trying to manifest the life they want,
Allowing external circumstances to define their internal state.
Probably the most common block of all,
Relying on what's happening outside to determine how you feel on the inside.
Here's what tends to happen.
Maybe you've been diligently working on manifesting for a few months now.
You've got some things in motion.
But then things go wrong.
A potential business deal falls through,
You get into an argument with your partner,
Or something unexpected happens that creates a setback.
And suddenly,
It feels like you've hit a wall.
You start doubting the process.
And before you know it,
You're caught up in a downward spiral of frustration or worry.
It's like the external world has pulled the strings on your internal state.
But here's the key.
To manifest successfully,
You need to flip this dynamic on its head.
Instead of letting external results,
Or lack of results,
Dictate how you feel,
You have to master your internal world first.
Your emotions,
Your state of mind,
Need to be driven from within.
That's the real essence of manifestation,
Aligning the energy inside so that the outside world can reflect it back to you.
It's not about reacting to what's happening in your external life,
But choosing to stay in a powerful vibrational state,
No matter what's going on around you.
We all have this default mode where we let external events trigger us.
But to truly manifest,
You have to own your emotional state and live as though you are already there.
You act as if,
Not in response to,
The world around you.
This communication with the universe works both ways.
If you're constantly reacting to the physical world,
You're sending out chaotic energy.
And you'll likely manifest more of those chaotic results.
But if you stay centred,
No matter what's happening externally,
You're signalling that you are unshakeable,
And the world will begin to reflect that solidity right back at you.
It's not what happens to you that matters,
It's how you respond to it.
Emotional mastery is key.
Control your internal narrative,
And what happens externally will begin to bend in your favour.
It sounds simple,
But it takes practice.
So how can you begin to take control of your internal state and stop letting life's ups and downs shake you?
One powerful practice is gratitude.
It's this straightforward yet effective practice that can shift you from a reactive state to a proactive one.
And here's why gratitude is key.
It's not just about being thankful for what you already have.
True gratitude is being thankful in advance.
It's feeling grateful for the things that haven't even materialised yet,
But trusting they will.
When you live in that state of gratitude,
No matter what's happening externally,
The universe aligns with it.
It's a game changer.
Let's say you're trying to manifest financial abundance,
But a big expense suddenly hits your bank account,
Bringing feelings of worry or stress,
That external reality pulling at your emotional state.
Now instead of worrying,
Choose to transmit gratitude.
Thank the universe as if money is already on its way to you.
Feel it,
Believe it and act from that place of abundance.
The more you practice this emotional alchemy,
The easier it becomes and life begins to open up in ways you hadn't imagined.
But if you find yourself in a negative state,
Maybe overwhelmed by a situation or deeply frustrated,
It's important to acknowledge it first.
Don't resist those feelings.
Honour them.
But don't dwell in them either.
Take control of your mind and choose to re-centre.
Meditation is an incredible tool for this.
Breathing deeply,
Letting go of those reactive thoughts and coming back to your own inner balance can make a world of difference.
Remember the life you want may very well be right around the corner,
But you need to create the space inside you to allow it in.
Now we've covered a lot today.
Subconsciously held limiting beliefs,
Overthinking the how,
Getting tangled in impatience,
Neglecting daily action and letting external circumstances dictate your emotions.
All of these mistakes,
While common,
Are totally within your power to overcome.
It all boils down to making the journey of manifesting the life you want,
Not just about outward change,
But about internal mastery.
So as you walk away from today's discussion,
Take a moment to reflect on where you might be stuck.
Are you getting caught up in the how?
Impatient with timelines?
Forgetting to take aligned action?
Wherever it is,
Know that a small shift can change everything.
Remember manifesting the life you want is about aligning your emotions,
Taking inspired action and trusting the process.
You are more powerful than you realise.
Let's keep growing,
Keep trusting and keep moving toward that incredible vision you have for yourself.
You've got this.
