Welcome to this meditation where you will meet and reconnect with your inner child.
The inner child is that soft,
Subconscious part of you that remembers how it felt to play,
To imagine,
To feel joy and wonder.
It is also that part of you that holds the early emotions,
The needs and impressions that shaped who you became.
And even though time has passed,
And even if there is no conscious memory of it,
That part of you is still here,
Held deeply in the layers of your subconscious mind.
When that part of you feels unseen or unheard,
You may notice challenges in the present,
Difficulty with trust or boundaries,
Or a feeling of not being enough exactly as you are,
Or a sense that joy and creativity are somehow harder to access.
And as you reunite with that younger part of you,
You can offer it safety and love,
Allowing confidence,
Peace and creativity to naturally expand from within.
So now,
Make yourself comfortable in a quiet space where you won't be disturbed for a little while,
Sitting or laying down,
Whichever allows more comfort.
Let your eyes gently move from left to right,
And then from right to left.
Do it for a couple of times,
And then,
When you are ready,
Gently close your eyes.
As we start this journey of reconnection with your inner child,
Bring all of your attention to your breath,
And focus on the slow,
Natural flow of the air entering and leaving.
As you follow the rhythm of your breath,
Feel your body beginning to relax,
Shoulders softening,
Jaw unclenching,
Hands resting heavily on the side if you are laying down,
Or on the top of your knees if you are sitting.
And with each exhale,
Perhaps you can notice a wave of calm moving through you,
Allowing the breath to guide you deeper and deeper,
And just a little deeper.
Your mind becomes quiet,
Your body grows light,
Almost as if it could float with no effort.
And as the outer world fades,
The inner world becomes vivid,
Surrounded by warmth,
By light,
And a gentle sense of being held.
In this relaxed state,
You may begin to imagine or sense a path forming beneath your feet.
You don't need to try to see it clearly.
Just let it appear in whichever way feels natural.
And as you follow this path,
Step by step,
You drift into a beautiful garden,
A place where everything feels gentle and safe.
You might sense the grass beneath you,
Or simply know it's there.
Perhaps noticing colors becoming brighter,
The trees,
The flowers,
The air becoming fresher,
And a warm breeze.
Perhaps touching your skin.
Everything here invites you to relax even more.
So go ahead and allow that to happen right now.
And as you relax,
You enjoy these beautiful feelings while you are standing in this garden.
Somewhere ahead,
You notice a small figure.
A child laying quietly or sitting on a bench.
And without forcing anything,
Allow yourself to move closer at whatever pace feels right.
And as you approach,
You may begin to recognize that child as you,
A younger version of you.
You kneel or bend down gently.
And in a soft voice,
You say,
Hello.
My name is.
.
.
I am the older version of you.
I am here to spend time with you.
Notice how the child responds.
The facial expression.
The age.
The mood.
And without judging,
Just observing.
You have a small bag with toys,
Chocolates,
Sweets,
And little treasures from your childhood.
Choose one and offer it to your inner child,
Building trust,
Safety,
Warmth.
And as the inner child accepts you,
Even just a little,
You begin to play together.
Maybe running barefoot through the grass,
Rolling,
Laughing,
Drawing,
Painting.
Or if the child is very young,
You simply hold them softly,
Rocking,
Supporting.
However it happens is the right way.
And together,
You feel joy,
Lightness,
Freedom.
Unconditional love.
Connecting with this part of you is a return to innocence,
A returning home.
After playing,
You gently take your inner child into your arms.
Hold your inner child close to your heart.
And softly,
You whisper.
You are safe.
You are deeply loved.
You are protected.
Again,
You are safe.
You are deeply loved.
You are protected.
And again.
You are safe.
You are safe.
You are deeply loved.
You are protected.
And with each repetition,
Feel your inner child energy merging into your heart space.
Becoming part of you again.
Complete.
At peace.
You feel a sensation of warmth that spreads through your chest.
Expanding through every cell of your body.
Filling you with gratitude.
With joy.
With unconditional love.
And you allow this beautiful feeling to soak into your body and settle in your subconscious mind.
Gently bring your attention back to your breath.
Feeling the body.
Feeling the surface beneath you.
Feeling the room around you.
And again.
You will take a couple of slow breaths to return fully.
Inhaling through the nose.
And exhaling.
A nice deep breath in.
In this space.
Into the body.
And a last one.
Deep breath in.
Filling your lungs with air.
And exhaling.
And whenever you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carrying this tenderness with you.
Showing gratitude to yourself.
To your inner child.
