Welcome.
Today's meditation is a space to gently support you if you're moving through change or standing at the beginning of a new chapter.
The intention is to come back to the present moment and open yourself up to what is ready to unfold next.
Let's take a moment to arrive together and let the body settle.
Let your hands rest easily,
Maybe palms facing up or down whichever feels comfortable for you and gently allow yourself to be here.
If it feels comfortable then close your eyes or have a low gaze looking down.
Take a slow easy breath in through the nose and exhale softly through the mouth.
And again breathe in.
One more time like this,
A deep breath in.
And a complete breath out.
Now invite the breath to return back to its natural rhythm.
Notice the simple fact that you're here.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing,
Pausing,
Listening.
There is nothing you need to force in this moment,
Nothing you need to figure out all at once.
No rush.
No pressure.
Just this moment.
Just this breath.
Just this quiet willingness to begin.
Invite you to bring your awareness gently into your body.
Maybe start to notice where your body is being supported.
Feel the weight of yourself being held.
If your feet are on the floor,
Notice them there or just notice your body resting beneath you.
Let yourself receive that support and then take another soft breath in through the nose.
And as you exhale,
Allow your shoulders to drop,
Let the jaw soften.
Let the muscles around the eyes relax.
Let the belly loosen.
You don't need to hold yourself so tightly here.
This is a space to soften.
A space to return.
A space to begin again.
New beginnings don't always arrive with certainty.
Sometimes they come quietly as an inner shift,
A letting go.
Knowing that something old no longer fits.
A sense that life is asking something different of you now.
You may not have all the answers yet.
You may not be able to see the full path ahead of you.
But that doesn't mean the new beginning is not already unfolding.
Now take a deeper breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Imagine releasing the need to have it all worked out.
Again,
Breathing in.
And as you breathe out,
Let go of any pressure.
As you breathe out this time,
Let go of urgency.
Just for now,
Allow yourself to be where you are at this threshold.
Between what has been and what is now emerging.
I invite you to bring to mind anything you feel ready to leave behind.
It may be a way of thinking.
A version of yourself.
A fear.
A heaviness.
A pattern of rushing,
Striving,
Doubting or holding you back.
You don't need to analyse it.
Just notice it.
And just notice what feels complete.
What feels finished.
And what you are no longer being asked to carry.
And as you inhale and exhale quietly,
Say to yourself the following.
I honour what has been.
And I release what is complete.
Again,
Say softly.
I honour what has been.
And I release what is complete.
Take a moment here.
And notice what happens in your body as you give yourself permission to let go.
Not forcefully.
Not dramatically.
But gently.
Honestly.
Lovingly.
Now let's bring your awareness to your heart centre.
The centre of your chest.
And imagine a soft,
Steady light there.
This light is not something you need to create.
It's already within you.
It's your inner wisdom.
Your life force.
The quiet part of you that remembers the way.
With each breath,
Imagine that light becoming a little brighter.
Steadier.
And breathing out,
You invite your body to soften into it.
And as you rest in this awareness here,
Silently say to yourself,
I am open to a new beginning.
Again,
I am open to a new beginning.
Once more,
I am beginning to what is unfolding for me now.
Now let those words land gently.
No need to strain towards them.
Just let them settle into the deepest part of you.
A new beginning does not ask you to become someone else.
It asks you to come closer to what is true.
Closer to your own inner knowing.
Closer to your own aliveness.
And closer to the life that is waiting for your honest-ness.
Take a breath in and imagine that you're breathing in all of that possibility.
Take the breath out and imagine you are breathing out any resistance.
Inhale possibility.
Exhale resistance.
Inhale trust.
Exhale fear.
Inhale openness.
And exhale what no longer you need.
Now very gently begin to sense the energy of this next chapter.
Not as a detailed plan,
But as something you need to control.
But as a feeling.
And ask yourself quietly,
Am I being invited into?
You may receive a word,
A feeling,
An image,
A sense.
Perhaps only a little more space.
Whatever comes is enough.
And if nothing comes,
That is enough too.
Just stay open,
Stay soft,
Present.
And take a few breaths here in the silence.
Now quietly say to yourself,
I trust that I do not need to see the whole path to take my next step.
Again,
I trust that I do not need to see the whole path to take my next step.
Let that truth settle into your body.
You are allowed to begin before you feel completely ready.
You're allowed to change.
You're allowed to outgrow what once fit.
And remember,
You are allowed to step into something new with tenderness,
Courage,
And in your own time.
Let's take one more deep breath in.
And as you release the breath,
Imagine anchoring this new beginning into the whole of your body.
Into your heart.
Into your being.
And feel the quiet strength in you.
Find the steadiness there.
Feel the openness within you.
When you're ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
And start to notice the surface beneath you.
Notice the air on your skin.
Notice the gentle rhythm of your breath.
Maybe you wiggle those fingers.
You wiggle those toes.
You may even want to roll those shoulders back softly.
And before you open your eyes,
Take a final moment to acknowledge yourself here.
The being here.
The listening.
Allowing.
Allowing space for something new.
And then when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Begin again,
Not from pressure,
Not from fear,
But from presence,
From truth,
Trust,
And from within.
Thank you for sharing this time with me.
May you leave this practice feeling more grounded,
More connected,
And more at ease within yourself.
Go gently and trust what is unfolding within you.
