So when you're ready,
Begin by finding yourself a comfortable and quiet space to sit in.
You may even wish to lie down.
Get yourselves comfortable,
Relax the shoulders,
The jaw and the brow and maybe you might want to close the eyes down or at least have a soft gaze.
Now take a few deep breaths in to centre yourself,
So in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Do that two more times.
Now as you continue to breathe deeply,
Bring your awareness into this present moment.
Keep breathing in and breathing out.
Now closing the lips,
Resting the eyes,
Relaxing the shoulders and the brow and the jaw.
Let go of any distractions or thoughts that might be running through your mind.
Deepen and lengthen the breath and simply focus on your breath entering in through the nose and out through the nose.
Inhaling and exhaling,
Deepening and lengthening the breath.
Now bring to mind the idea of being true to yourself.
Reflect on what this means to you.
What it means to you personally,
What it means to you professionally,
What it means to you as a whole person.
What values,
Beliefs and desires are important to you?
Allow yourself to connect with your inner truth.
Now deepen and lengthen the breath.
Focusing on the inhale and the exhale.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine inhaling a bright light.
A bright light of authenticity and self-acceptance.
Really breathe that in.
Now feel this light filling your entire being,
All the way from your head to your toes.
Let it wash away any doubts or fears about being true to yourself.
With each exhale,
Release any external tensions,
Any expectations or anything that will bring pressure or tension into your mind-body system.
Anything that might be holding you back from being your true authentic self.
Let go of any need to please.
To please self,
To please others or to conform to societal norms.
Just focus on the breath and bringing in your true authentic self.
Keep breathing deeply and focus on your light of authenticity.
The light that shines bright within you.
Now I invite you to embrace who you truly are and allow yourself to shine.
Shine brightly in everything you do,
In your uniqueness.
Shine brightly in who you are.
Now I'd like you to repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
Repeat them silently or if you're on your own,
You can say them out loud.
Whatever is your preference,
Just follow my lead.
I honour my true self and live authentically.
I trust my inner guidance and follow my heart's desire.
I am worthy of love and acceptance just as I am.
And I embrace my uniqueness and express myself freely.
Now just allow those words to wash through the system.
Taking a few moments just to sit with each of those affirmations.
Allowing them to sink in,
To integrate within your whole system.
Feel the warmth and the strength of being true to yourself.
Allow yourself to radiate from within,
Letting your light shine through.
Now take a big inhale and a big exhale through the nose.
Inhale and then release through the mouth.
And when you're ready you can gently open your eyes and return back to this present moment.
I'm going to encourage you to carry this sense of authenticity and self-acceptance with you into everything you do today and beyond.
All the way through your day,
Remind yourself that you can be true to yourself.
Now remember,
Being true to yourself is a journey,
It is not a quick fix.
So take your time and be patient with yourself and it's okay to have moments of doubt or fears.
Now if any of those arise,
Just go back to the breath and remind yourself that if you trust in your inner wisdom and continue to nurture your relationship with yourself,
Then you will find the journey back home to yourself not as difficult as perhaps you may feel.
