Welcome to this meditation.
My name is Nick Mann and I'm overjoyed to join you on this journey.
Today we will be exploring the ancient Hawaiian prayer of Ho'oponopono.
This is a sacred prayer of forgiveness.
Ho'oponopono involves learning to heal all things by accepting total responsibility.
Total responsibility for everything that surrounds us.
This prayer offers a simple and easy way to regain the power we have lost by allowing unpleasant memories and feelings to fester.
With practice you will get full control of this process.
You don't need anyone involved to initiate forgiveness and they certainly don't need to be present.
This is a prayer purely between you and the universe.
Ho'o means to make and pono means right.
The second pono indicates the need to make things right both with oneself and others.
Another interpretation of the words is to cause things to move back into balance.
Those who practice this prayer believe it creates a clean slate,
Making way for reconciliation and restores inner peace.
Let us prepare now to do this mantra,
This meditation,
And this sacred prayer of forgiveness.
Go ahead and find yourself seated comfortably.
You may be lying down as well.
Notice your rhythm of breath and see if you can elongate it,
Slowing your respirations down and coming to a place of relaxation.
Open yourself up to connecting to your higher source now,
Whether you call it God or the universe.
Open yourself to a bigger benevolent force.
As we perform this mantra and prayer today,
You may have specific situations and people that come to mind.
This is natural and a beautiful process of the whole pono pono.
As situations and people come to your mind that you would like to forgive yourself for,
You must ask yourself if you are ready to take 100% responsibility.
You must ask yourself if you are truly willing to be forgiving towards yourself and others.
I believe you are.
Let us turn to the mantra now to give you the gift of forgiveness.
As these praises are repeated,
It could be forgiveness of yourself,
Of your internal world,
Or forgiveness of any relationship you have to the outer world.
This prayer is done in four simple steps.
Powerful words of this prayer are,
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
As I repeat these,
You may say them out loud or repeat them silently in your mind.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
As we repeat these words,
Feel a lightening,
Feel an unburdening,
Feel a softening.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
These four phrases are setting you free.
Let long-standing judgments and defense systems soften and release now.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
As you hear these phrases,
Allow the situation or people you have in your mind to accept your apology,
To feel your love and hear your gratitude.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
Ho'oponopono offers us an easy way to free ourselves from the prison of unforgiveness.
One of the most beautiful aspects of this mantra is the fact we can apply it to transform our lives.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
Repeat this out loud or silently in your mind.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
As you repeat these words,
You are literally creating space for a new and healthier reality,
For the disintegration of long-standing judgments and feuds,
And to discover the power of forgiveness and unconditional love.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
For the remainder of this meditation,
You will hear the four phrases.
Simply listen with an open heart.
You may sing along or silently in your mind just feel the effects of this prayer of forgiveness.
These four powerful phrases will transform your life and give yourself the gift of forgiveness.
I love you,
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you.
Keep us gratitude and love.
I thank you for joining me on this journey of forgiveness.
The journey of forgiveness is to discover levels of tranquility,
Inner peace,
Blessings,
Love,
And forgiveness through this ancient prayer.
This is Nick,
The meditation man,
Signing out.
