Atop Eagle Mountain, I found a serene forest nook to play my tongue drum. From here, I could make out a terrific sight of the mountainside, with big puffy clouds hanging overhead. I heard a raven crying out, the chatter of a woodpecker and the calling of a chipmunk. This backdrop inspired me to play my tongue drum softly and intentionally, weaving in an Internal Family Systems (IFS) body scan and parts check-in. I craft these meditations with my skillset as a therapist, while the tranquillity of the mountain helps soften my tone. Listen carefully and enjoy the ways my heart shines through each note of music.
