There is a rhythm beneath your life.
A deep ancient rhythm.
And if you listen closely,
You will feel it pulsing under everything you have ever loved.
Everything you have ever lost,
And everything you have ever become.
It is the rhythm of expansion and construction.
Of gaining and losing,
Opening and closing.
Living and letting go.
The more you lose,
The more simple life becomes.
The more you gain the more complex it all grows into not because one is better than the other but because life is always shifting its weight widening narrowing stretching and tightening There is no right or wrong in this,
There simply is.
And part of being human is learning to witness where we are on that spectrum at any point in time.
The complexity,
The simplicity,
The gain,
The loss.
Life moves in tides.
There are seasons when you collect,
Grow,
Widen,
And expand.
And there are seasons when we retreat,
Constrict,
Release,
And lose.
The secret is not in the gaining or the loss,
But in the pliability when the soul becomes flexible as it moves through both and simultaneously.
It is learning how to become comfortable with what you have.
And with what you no longer have.
It is understanding that the more you hold,
The more you risk in losing.
But that does not mean that one should fear abundance,
Nor does it mean that you should stop chasing.
Any more than you should chase in order to fill the holes that are left by loss.
There is a beauty in constriction.
In the rebuilding and reshaping.
In the quiet moments where you gather yourself.
And there is sadness there too.
Just as there is beauty and worth in expansion,
In abundance,
And in fullness,
There is beauty and worth in the constriction,
In the narrowing,
And in the sacred pause.
If you can learn to see both sides with equal reverence,
Then when loss arrives,
As it inevitably does,
You will not collapse under its weight.
Perhaps not in the exact moment of loss,
But in the moments that follow,
You begin to see the gifts,
The quality of the time that you had,
The lessons that you've learned,
The love that was offered,
And the presence that was shared.
You begin to understand that time is not created equal.
Some moments feel like a lifetime,
And some lifetimes pass in a moment.
It is the weaving of both the quality and the quantity that make a life worth living.
Expansion rarely happens in one area alone as it spills into everything,
Just as constriction rarely arrives in isolation but tightens the whole system.
A child leaving home.
A loved one passing.
A chapter closing,
A career ending,
A pet's final breath,
The finishing of a book.
Loss often occurs as a cluster,
A season where multiple storylines conclude at once.
And yet through it all,
There is one constant.
You.
Your soul,
Your center,
Your presence.
You are the one who expanded and constricted.
You are the one who held space for abundance and loss.
You are the one who stretched and tightened and stretched again.
Imagine yourself like a rubber band.
Not fragile,
But elastic.
The more you extend and expand and constrict,
The more pliable you become.
Not because it is easy,
But because you learn how to return to a relaxed state.
Yes,
There are moments of overwhelm.
Moments when you feel the rub,
The tension,
The frayed edge of your own capacity.
But over time you learn to move with ease,
With more grace,
More allowance.
You learn how to feel fully without drowning,
And you learn to grieve without disappearing.
You learn to let the dark places rise and let them pass.
And when the moment ends,
You allow it to end.
And when the next moment rises,
You allow it to rise.
You learn to ride the wave to allow what is becoming to become to allow it to be what it is and what it isn't.
You learn to give yourself time.
Take time to feel and grieve and soften and know.
And some things are meant to fall away but in order for them to fall away you had to first receive You had to expand to grow and to open.
And when the chapter closes,
You are invited into acceptance.
Not the kind that erases the pain,
The kind that honors what was and allows for what is.
This is the moment to move gently and slowly.
To allow the in-between,
For there is no rush to reach the next thing.
The next thing is already happening.
Life is moving forward and unfolding.
Moments are passing through you like water.
And through it all,
You are learning how to be.
To be here.
Fully present.
Fully witnessing,
Fully allowing with all that you have,
All that you've lost,
And all that you are becoming.
