Welcome,
This guided meditation is a space for you to pause and gently reset as we move into the energy of the spring equinox,
A moment in the year that symbolizes balance,
Renewal and new beginnings.
Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down,
And gently allow your body to settle.
When you're ready,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow,
Steady breath in through your nose and gently out through your nose.
And again,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Allow your breath to return to a natural rhythm and begin to notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Feel the weight of your body being supported beneath you.
There is nowhere you need to go and nothing you need to do right now.
Bring your attention to your shoulders.
If they feel tight or lifted,
Allow them to soften and drop slightly.
Relax your jaw,
Soften your forehead and allow your hands to rest easily.
With every breath out,
Imagine releasing any tension you may be holding in your body.
The spring equinox is a moment in the year when day and night are in equal balance,
Light and dark held in perfect harmony.
Let this be a gentle invitation to reflect on your own sense of balance.
Without judgment,
Simply notice where in your life do you feel steady and supported?
And where might things feel a little out of balance or heavy?
There is no need to change anything in this moment,
Just allow yourself to observe with curiosity and compassion.
Imagine now that you are standing in a quiet,
Natural space,
Perhaps in a field,
A woodland clearing or somewhere that feels peaceful to you.
Around you the earth is slowly waking from winter,
The air feels fresh and calm.
As you breathe out,
Imagine releasing anything you have been carrying around that feels heavy,
Worries,
Stress or old thoughts that no longer serve you.
You might picture placing these gently into the earth,
Allowing them to be absorbed and transformed just as fallen leaves nourish the soil and make way for new growth.
With every exhale you feel yourself becoming a little lighter.
Now bring your awareness back to your breath.
As you breathe in,
Imagine drawing in the fresh light energy of spring,
The feeling of longer days,
Softer light and new beginnings.
Allow this sense of renewal to flow through your body,
Into your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your arms and down into your legs.
You are not forcing change,
You are simply allowing space for something new to emerge naturally in its own time.
Spring is often a time of planting seeds,
Not only in the earth but in our lives.
Without pressure or expectation,
Consider what you might like to gently nurture in the coming weeks.
It might be a sense of calm,
A new habit,
More rest or simply a kinder way of speaking to yourself.
Allow this intention to form softly in your mind,
Like a small seed being placed into the soil.
For the next few moments,
Simply rest here in the quiet,
Allowing your breath to move naturally and your body to feel supported.
Begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Notice the surface beneath you,
The sounds in the room and the gentle rhythm of your breathing.
Take a slightly deeper breath in and exhale slowly.
You may begin to wiggle your fingers and toes or gently roll your shoulders.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes or lift your gaze.
As you move back into your day,
Carry with you this sense of balance,
Lightness and quiet renewal.
Just as nature moves through its seasons,
You are also allowed to grow,
Rest and begin again,
Again and again.
And if you ever need a moment to pause and reset,
You can return to this space within yourself at any time.
