Wherever you are,
Whatever you are doing.
If you're inside and you can do so,
Take a look out of the window.
If you're outside and you can do so take a look up at the sky.
Noticing what you can see,
You could name three things you can see.
Or if you prefer,
Simply be with your surroundings for a moment.
Aware of the breath.
The inhales and the exhales.
Noticing there's a natural pause.
Between the inhale and the exhale.
Noticing there's a natural pause between the exhale and the inhale.
It might be ever so subtle.
Just noticing.
Finally noticing the length of the inhale.
The poles.
The length of the exhale,
The pause.
So inhaling.
Pause.
Exhaling pause the circle of breath.
Every breath also part of a larger cycle.
The oxygen entering your lungs released by the plants and trees.
The carbon dioxide you exhale taken in by the trees and plants.
As you breathe in,
Receiving the gift of oxygen that has travelled through forests and fields.
As you breathe out,
Offer carbon dioxide back to the living world.
An ancient exchange.
All life connected.
As you look back out of the window or back up to the sky noticing one more deep breath in and taking a slow,
Steady breath out.
