Wherever you are,
Whatever you are doing.
Good morning.
Perhaps you are still in bed in a comfortable seated position with eyes closed or open.
Or already getting on with your day.
Bringing your awareness all the way down to your feet.
As if drawing the awareness from the thinking mind down to your feet.
Noticing which parts of your feet are in contact with the floor,
Bed or chair.
Is there more pressure on one part of the foot than the other?
Are there any sensations?
Or a sense of warmth or coolness.
Becoming more aware now of your toes.
Noticing how you can notice your toes.
Here,
The invitation is to connect to a sense of feeling grounded.
Grounded through the connection of the feet.
Physical body.
The awareness.
As you bring your awareness to the breath just imagine sending your breath all the way down to your feet.
And from your feet,
Imagine the breath going all the way back up to the top of your head.
Let's take three more of those.
Exhaling as if the breath could go down to the feet.
Inhaling the breath back up to the top of the head.
Exhaling to the feet.
Inhaling to the head Exhaling.
Inhaling.
And then allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Noticing as the breath moves through the body,
Where do you feel it?
Do you feel movement in the chest?
The belly.
The back of the body.
There's no right or wrong,
Just noticing.
Allowing the breath to come and go as the breath unfolds in each moment.
As we welcome this new day,
I invite you to silently repeat to yourself.
I release what I cannot control today.
I release what I cannot control today.
I release what I cannot control today.
I release.
I release.
I release.
Taking one slightly deeper breath in and the longest exhale you have taken so far today.
Thank you for sharing your practice with me.
Remember you can return to this practice whenever you feel the need.
