Wherever you are,
Whatever you are doing,
Good morning.
Taking a moment.
Noticing how you are feeling this morning.
There's no right or wrong.
You might be feeling hurried,
Stressed,
Anxious,
Calm,
Content.
Motivated to get on with the day or unmotivated.
Perhaps you've just woken up and you're already exhausted.
Or maybe nothing is appearing.
And that's okay too.
How are you feeling?
Just noticing how we are feeling is a practice in itself.
We are not used to being with our feelings until they get big and loud enough for us to hear them.
This practice is noticing the subtleties.
The heart beating.
Perhaps sweaty palms.
Sensations in the body,
Maybe butterflies around the stomach.
Acknowledging the feeling.
Naming it to yourself.
And then there's an invitation to accept it.
If you're feeling annoyed,
That's okay.
If you're feeling stressed or hurried,
That's okay.
We're often brought up to believe that emotions have qualities.
They're good or bad,
Right or wrong,
But we can't help how we are feeling.
How we choose to act has consequences.
But the feelings themselves.
They're natural.
So can you let it be?
Or even welcome it in.
Whatever is here for you this morning.
Let it be here.
Let it be here with self-compassion.
Let it be here with loving kindness.
Holding this space for yourself.
Now let's take three breaths.
That's all you have to do.
Just breathe.
And then let it go.
Thank you for sharing your practice with me.
You can come back to this practice anytime it feels helpful.
