Beloved,
Take a seat within the sanctuary of your own skin.
I invite you to come into the temple of this moment and allow the heavy door of the world to swing shut behind you.
We are here to gather the pieces of your presence that have scattered in the wind,
Bringing them home to the hearth of your own chest.
There are days when the landscape of the interior becomes veiled like a forest tucked beneath a thick mist.
Allow yourself to take in a drink of the forest-scented air and feel it gently begin to awaken yourself.
You may feel as though you are observing your life from a great distance,
Your heart a quiet bell,
Your hands moving through the world while the pilot light of your spirit flickers low.
This is the space of hypoarousal,
A holy pause,
A sanctuary the body builds when it seeks to protect its own flame.
Try not to judge this stillness,
Try not to fear the veil.
It is a rest,
It is a quiet season of the soul,
A soft waiting where the inner world gathers its strength in the deep,
Golden silence before the blossoms return.
You have been so vital,
Carrying the weight of a thousand unsaid things,
Walking through days that required every ounce of your grace.
It is natural for the heart to seek the shade,
To pull the curtains and sit in the soft light of the soul,
But the dawn has persisted and the earth is calling your name back into the vibration of life.
We are here to listen for the first faint stirrings of your own song,
Inviting the warmth to return to the marrow of your being.
Place your hands where you feel the rise and fall of your breath,
Perhaps one on your heart and one on your low belly.
Feel the heat of your palms seeping through your clothes,
A direct transmission of your own life force.
Breathe into the palms of your hands,
Let the breath be a slow golden honey coating the dry places,
Softening the edges of the ribs.
We are inviting the light back into the rooms of the body,
One floor at a time.
Direct your awareness down to the very base of your spine,
Into the heavy,
Holy pull of the pelvis.
Feel your connection to the floor.
You are being held by a love that is constant,
A foundation that is unwavering.
Allow your weight to drop.
Allow the tension in your thighs to dissolve like salt in warm water.
As you settle,
Imagine a soft,
Luminescent amber light beginning to glow at the soles of your feet.
This is the light of belonging.
Feel the hum of this vibration,
Let it rise slowly through your ankles and calves,
Waking the cells with a gentle,
Tectonic warmth.
It is the feeling of the sun hitting a stone that has been in the shadow,
Slowly drinking in the heat.
If there is a sense of heaviness,
Let it be the heaviness of deep,
Nurturing rest.
If there is a sense of distance,
Let the light be the bridge that brings you home.
The amber glow moves into the belly now,
The place of your deep,
Instinctive truth.
We are asking this space to expand,
Just a fraction.
We are telling the nervous system it is safe to be inhabited.
It is safe to feel the blood moving in the veins.
It is safe to be home.
Inhale a deep,
Wide breath into the bowl of the belly.
Exhale,
Letting a soft sigh escape your lips,
A release of the effort,
A yielding to the grace of this moment.
Now,
Let that warmth arrive at the heart.
If it feels quiet,
Simply sit beside it.
You do not need to force it to be louder.
Just offer it your company.
Imagine the mist in the forest beginning to lift,
The sun spreading through the branches,
Touching the moss,
Warming the hidden seeds.
You are returning to the frequency of the pulse.
You are waking up to the exquisite reality of your own skin.
Feel the sensation in your fingertips.
Perhaps it's a slight tingle,
A waking electricity.
Move them slowly,
As if you are touching the air for the very first time.
You are the witness and the dancer.
You are the silence and the song.
Say these words to yourself silently.
I am here.
I am receptive.
I am beginning again.
Take a final,
Expansive breath,
Filling the lungs until the chest reaches toward the chin.
Hold that fullness,
Savoring the nectar of being alive.
And as you exhale,
Let the world back in.
Carry this warmth,
This soft awakening,
Into your day as a sacred secret.
You are back.
You are here.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
Thank you for your beautiful presence.
